As you should all be aware, the Defiant Map pack for
Halo: Reach were released on Xbox Live today. However, a number of people on this site may already have the maps thanks to codes from various sources. Those of you who got the maps early should carry on reading, as it appears that there may be a problem with the maps you currently have downloaded, which may prevent you from using them with people who have downloaded the maps today.
Bungie are already aware of this issue, as seen in their
forums, and the problem can easily be rectified by deleting the maps currently on your hard drive, and redownloading them from the marketplace. The key thing to making sure you’ve got the “correct” map pack is to check the file size on your hard drive. The one that everyone should be using is 691.43 Mb, where as people who downloaded it early may have one that is 438 Mb.
So if you have downloaded the maps early, it’d be worth just checking the filesize before going into matchmaking and causing yourself some frustration.
