I’d play that.
Heh – oops. (While I don’t have official confirmation at this point, I’d bet good money that Halo CE Anniversary will NOT be coming out on the Nintendo 3DS platform.) Thanks, Willeth (via Ross Mills).(Louis Wu 14:34:17 UTC)

GameTrailers GC and TGS vids
ZZoMBiE13 pointed out a few vids at GameTrailers, courtesy of Gamescom and the Tokyo Game Show – there’s an interview with Dan Ayoub, recorded at Gamescom (we MIGHT have covered this already; I’m not willing to watch through the half-dozen interviews Dan gave to OTHER news outlets to figure out if this is original or not), there’s a copy of the Headlong video we mentioned yesterday (in case you aren’t happy with IGN’s player), and there’s some off-screen footage of gameplay on Installation 04, the new Firefight map. (The japanese announcer isn’t anywhere NEAR as epic-sounding as Jeff Steitzer.) Go catch up!(Louis Wu 14:08:29 UTC)

Some sketchy prep-work
Bryan Newman is working on a machinima series, and to help himself with the writing, he’s decided to create a Dr. Halsey-style journal; he’s posted several pages already, and I must say, they’re pretty cool! Take a look.(Louis Wu 13:58:31 UTC)

It’s Been a Great Trip, Levi
In some cool surprising news, Leviathan decided to show off the end* of his epic comic Fistful of Arrows. It may be difficult to get your head around, but the wait has been worth it. Even more surprising was the brilliantly-penned foreward by Mr. Marty O’Donnell himself. Sweet!(GrimBrother One 05:15:46 UTC)

Learning from the Competition
TheOddOne, over at NeoGAF, found a small tidbit at OXM UK – Frank O’Connor talks about some of the things the Call of Duty series does well, and what might be learned from that. It’s an interesting look into the mind of someone helping to shape where the Halo franchise is going!(Louis Wu 20:20:01 UTC)

Headlong is Back, Baby!
We got an early treat today as bs angel kindly lets us know that… Headlong is BACK! Many of you requested it and I think everyone will be happy with the decision. There are some pretty nice screenshots of Breakneck, and it looks like you’ll be seeing a familiar friend. On a side note, the rest of the Bulletin addresses what we can expect for the beta hoppers to test out the new TU. The playlist specifics can be found there, but a couple of important dates: September 21st – TU rolls out; October 4th – Playlists roll out. Make sure you go give it a read.
