Bungie hires a new Community Manager
It’s heartwarming when a longtime Halo fan realizes a dream. Today, Bungie announced that the position of Community Manager (okay, Assistant Community Manager) has been filled… by a name that should be familiar to anyone who reads this page. Congratulations to TTL XerxdeeJ, who founded the Tied the Leader clan and gave players looking for a Good Game a place to call home. His flock has just grown exponentially! (Also, it looks like he’s just DeeJ now. Work for Bungie, lose your letters.)(Louis Wu 21:55:37 UTC)

Podtacular Special: Halo Decade Show, Part 4
Download
Our final installment of our Decade series is finally here. We’ve relived some of our most memorable moments from the last 10 years with Halo and we are finally here to talk about what most people like in Halo: the multiplayer. In this last show, we go back to the Halo: CE maps and remember all the special moments we’ve had on all of them. We don’t have a large panel like we’ve had on the previous parts, but there are still some really good discussions. Enjoy

Almost a chance at a signed Reach Xbox
Sean P. won the 4v4 Slayer tournament at HaloFest this year, and picked up a Halo: Reach Xbox 360 for his troubles. He got it signed by all the 343 employees – but then traded it for a Recon helmet that the winners of the 4v4 CTF tournament received (Pic 1 | Pic 2 | Pic 3). The person he traded with decided he’d rather have cash than the signed Xbox, so Sean sent us the auction link on Saturday, in case there were any HBO readers who might want to get in on the action. Unfortunately, the auction ended yesterday, before we got a chance to post this. (The console sold for $510 – a pretty hefty sum for someone who won a CTF tourney!) Apologies – next time we’ll try and get this online before it’s too late.(Louis Wu 15:03:11 UTC)
