This is a Halo: Reach community trick jumping montage put together by Angels of Chaos, entitled “I Don’t Mind.” The jumps are ridiculous, showcasing the characteristic insane amount of creativity of trick jumping montages, and there are a lot of sick tandem jumps. The editing is smooth, showing all the necessary angles for making the jumps understandable. Enjoy!
This week’s episode of Podtacular features MLG Photographer AnTiPRO and former THO Infamous Coach Cheeky as we talk about the future of Halo in the MLG Circuit. We talk about the results of the finals for the 2011 Pro Circuit and what needs to change in the circuit for Halo to continue to thrive and help evolve e-sports on the console. There are good discussions for MLG and non-MLG personas.
It’s snowing today in the Seattle area. So much, in fact, that I have decided to work from home in order to avoid the danger that is the snow-filled streets. This Halo toymation, made by A Gagnon Productions, is a pretty accurate depiction of the conditions we’re currently facing. At least I think it is, anyway. It’s hard to confirm from the confines of my super warm and comfy bed….
Partnered with Jun, Noble Six ventures in a communications “Dark Zone” under the cover of night to reconnoiter the Covenant activities in the area. Armed with devastating sniper rifles, the Spartans push farther into the area, taking on wave after wave of Covenant as well as getting a little too close for comfort with the local fauna. With stealth and darkness as your allies, this mission presents a lot of opportunities for covert long-range attacks, but still packs a satisfying punch if you’re into close-quarters combat. So pack a few extra sniper rounds and get ready for:
If you need a bit of help with this particular challenge, tune in for Mythic Tyrant’s LASO Walkthrough of Nightfall which premieres on Monday 1/16 on Halo Waypoint.

MixMaker117 put together another montage based on customs madness; this one collects footage (and in-game silliness) from last Friday night. Four minutes of fun. Thanks, SEspider.(Louis Wu 13:31:47 UTC)
Yesterday, Jillybean stopped in to our forum with a proposal – she thought it might be fun to recreate the Halo 3 terminals in Halo: Anniversary style. The enthusiasm, and pooling of talent, was amazing to watch. Here’s to the fans who make this happen – I’m really looking forward to the end result!(Louis Wu 13:03:19 UTC)
Match 6 of the Stride Championship Series is now up at Halo Waypoint – Clutch and Cloud face off against Flamesword and Enable. This is much more of a cat-and-mouse type game than the last few matches… great watch!(Louis Wu 13:02:24 UTC)
Arby ‘n’ the Chief Season 6 Episode 12 went live yesterday – and it becomes clear what’s REALLY going on. And sets things up for the final episode. Pretty nicely done! Thanks, Ogan Panavo.

There’s a video up on Halo Waypoint right now that I was SURE I’d seen before… but given the footage, I’m thinking it might be new. It’s called ‘The Halo Conflict 1: Strange New World’, and sets the stage for the games in about two and a half minutes. If you overlook the mispronunciation of ‘Soell’, this is a pretty nicely-done introduction to the story!(Louis Wu 19:11:41 UTC)
Hedgemony is back to his old tricks – check out his latest collection of pano shots, built from Community Customs action last night. Some really amazing pics in there! Update: And… more. And still more. And… STILL more. And the last batch.(Louis Wu 18:59:22 UTC)
Achievement Hunter’s posted Fails of the Weak volume 69 (AH.com | YouTube) – I found it to be pretty weak, across the board, except for the last fail (which was awesome). And it looks like I broke hezekiah’s spirit, which sort of sucks.(Louis Wu 18:57:05 UTC)
CruelLEGACEY has been posting an article series on Halo Waypoint that is aimed at helping you create machinima. Part 1 went live last week (it covered planning and audio recording), while Part 2 is up now (Storyboards and Animatics). 3 more parts are coming, once per week.(Louis Wu 18:56:35 UTC)
Dogiojoe sent word that the third installment of the Fall of Reach comic series from Marvel is finally beginning – Invasion should be on store shelves this coming Wednesday, January 18. If you need to get ‘caught up’, check Halopedia!

Dust Storm sent word that this week’s Podtacular episode features two MLG icons, AnTiPRO and Cheeky, and the topic of discussion is the future of Halo on the MLG Circuit. Worth listening to, whether you’re a fan of MLG or not!

You’re a busy person, and we have a thing for releasing as much Halo-related content our multi-fingered appendages can handle. That means—assuming you aren’t a speed reading super-soldier—you probably missed a few stories along the way. Not only do we forgive you, but we’ll also happily provide a convenient weekly wrap-up of absolutely everything we covered during the last seven days. Don’t worry about saying thank you. We’d rather you spend that time soaking in the goodness that is this entertaining collection of articles. Off you go!
DeeJ has posted a new mailbag over at Bungie.net – the Halo-specific content is very, very light, but any window into the dark and mysterious castle that is Bungie (at the moment) is welcome! Go read.(Louis Wu 20:10:35 UTC)
