Reaching WAAAY back
Longtime HBO readers might remember Z, who used to run Halo3Forum all by himself. He turned over the reins to people he trusted, but has recently decided to come back. If you swing by TheHaloForum.com right now, you can watch an hour and a half of Halo 2 gameplay between TCO (originally XiT Woundz) and Team 3D from about 6 years ago. Partnered with Jun, Noble Six ventures in a communications “Dark Zone” under the cover of night to reconnoiter the Covenant activities in the area. Armed with devastating sniper rifles, the Spartans push farther into the area, taking on wave after wave of Covenant as well as getting a little too close for comfort with the local fauna. With stealth and darkness as your allies, this mission presents a lot of opportunities for covert long-range attacks, but still packs a satisfying punch if you’re into close-quarters combat. So pack a few extra sniper rounds and get ready for:

There’s a video up on Halo Waypoint right now that I was SURE I’d seen before… but given the footage, I’m thinking it might be new. It’s called ‘The Halo Conflict 1: Strange New World’, and sets the stage for the games in about two and a half minutes.
