Halo Trilogy Legendary Run
Pacific Penguin and A Bad Vibe played through the Halo trilogy on Legendary difficulty, and put together a 17-minute, two-part montage of some of the highlights. Really cool in concept – implemented, a bit less so. (Editing is nearly nonexistent, clips have very, very little to do with one another, transitions are abrupt and jarring, quality is wildly variable.) Worth watching, I guess, to see where the bar is (so that when you make your own, you know what you have to beat). Thanks, urk.(Louis Wu 17:19:06 UTC)

Do you want rare songs from Marty?
Not really Halo news – but of interest to many Halo fans: Marty O’Donnell tweeted last night that he’s considering releasing some rare music tracks – from older video games. He wants to know if there’s any interest. Hedgemony says (emphatically) “yes” – and he’s echoed by other forumgoers. How do you feel?(Louis Wu 14:40:09 UTC)

Sarkathlon 4 – with a heckuva prize
Mr Sark is back with another obstacle course – and since his old prize (Recon armor for the winner) is now relatively easy to grab by other means, he’s upping the stakes – the winner of Sarkathlon 4 will get a copy of Bungie’s Flaming Armor. Now THERE’S something rare! Go read the full details of the challenge over at G4TV’s site… and get to practicing! You’ve got until November 8 to turn in your entry. (Louis Wu 14:28:21 UTC)
