Interesting. Fusible.com found a number of domains that have recently been acquired by Microsoft – many of them are Halo-related, but a couple are just… odd. ClicktoHump (both .com and .org)? Maybe Microsoft bought them to ensure they wouldn’t be used for nefarious purposes? Others offer a tantalizing peek into potential marketing ploys – CortanaKnows.net and LostinSlipspace.com make me wonder about what’s coming. Greenskull put together a vlog about the Halo community – it’s called ‘Then, Now, and the Future’. He reminisces a bit about HaloFest, and takes a look at what he feels both Bungie and 343 Industries have done right in regards to community involvement and embracing. He brings up a good point about what drives people like him to keep coming back for more, and how 343 can (and should!) capitalize on this. There’s been a strong opposition to two bills that have been brought up to the Senate and the House of Representatives that has been getting quite the amount of attention. For all of our non-American listeners, this may be news to you and not of much importance now, but it is something that we feel needs to be addressed and dealt with properly. The two bills in question are the Stop Online Piracy Act and the Protect IP Act, both of which, due to successful outcries by the US public are now put on hold, but it doesn’t end here. Former Co-host and now Community Manager of the Electronic Consumers Association, JVB is here to discuss what these bills mean and how they effect us as gamers.
