    KontrolFreek, the guys who make those little adaptors that sit on top of your Xbox controller’s analog sticks and give you tighter control, have a new contest going. The FPS Freek Legendarys, a variant of their product designed specifically for Halo, is being retired – when this last batch is gone, they’re gone. And to say goodbye in style, they’ve put together a heck of a prize package – A Reach Xbox 360, a Weta Halo statue, and a pair of Legendarys signed by Steve Downes. All you need to do is enter your email! This contest officially kicks off on Saturday – but because you’re reading this on HBO, you get to sign up early.     Halo Waypoint put up their latest Halo Bulletin last night, which features some further information on some of the Halo toys shown off at the NY Toy Fair, as well as some thoughts on Master Chief’s new look. Expanding on that thought was the latest “OHI” feature written by Kenneth Scott, Senior Art Director of Halo 4. Definitely some information worth chewing on, so go and check it out!     We start off today’s news on a more emotional note… HBO stalwart mad.max paid us a visit to remind us all that it’s been a staggering nine years ago now since the Halo – and more specifically Bungie – community lost one of its brightest beacons, Brian Morden, or *Ar-Isildur as he was known to many. His post gives a link as well to the Foundation set up in his name. If you were never privileged to meet his acquaintance, you’ll want to check out this link, which will give you a glimpse into this amazing person’s life. If you get a chance, stop by the forums and celebrate his legacy by sharing a story. Leaving readers with a good memory and a big smile has to be the best way to remember such an awesome friend.     This is a Halo 3/Reach montage from h0lmb0m, edited by himself, entitled “Express.” The gameplay is very good, featuring your traditional Multikills while also featuring your rarer sick single kills and low Multikills. The incredible diversity of this montage keeps it fresh throughout its entirety, and the bloopers/reactions do a fantastic job giving the video a light-hearted, fun atmosphere and conveying the enjoyment that h0lmb0m experienced as he was gathering the footage for this video. The editing is also very good. The syncing and flow are great, and there are some sweet transitions here and there. Overall, there aren’t many videos like this one nowadays, and it’s simply a marvelous experience all around. Enjoy!
