Friday Caption Fun, Round 77 (and more)
It’s Friday – so there’s a new Friday Caption Fun up over at Hawty McBloggy’s. Some great captions for last week’s bizarro pic… plus a NEW bizarro pic for you to caption this week. (How many Avatar references can we get?) While you’re over there, you could check out yesterday’s Twitter T&A Thursday – Hawty asked folks to come up with new names for planets in the Haloverse. Some intersting choices in there!(Louis Wu 15:23:40 UTC)

Dark Void Rescheduled because of ODST
According to an article at G4TV, the reason Dark Void is available this week, rather than last fall, is Halo 3: ODST. When Capcom found out that ODST was being released in late September, they bumped Dark Void forward to January, so as not to have to compete. (Louis Wu 15:22:57 UTC)

Friday Comic Roundup
Pair of new comics for you today – Elnea posted Halo Action Figure Theater #197 (SNAFU), wherein things get confusing, and TTL Demag0gue stopped in with word of Reclaimer 235 (Viral Anarchy), wherein Indigenous Adjuvant explains the roots of Viper’s brilliance. Check ’em both! (Louis Wu 15:22:21 UTC)

ODST Shines for MS
NPD released a list of the top ten US retail console games for 2009 by units – and Halo 3: ODST is on it. It is, in fact, one of only two Xbox 360 games on it. Thanks, Dani. (Louis Wu 15:21:37 UTC)

Friday’s Fan Fiction
Just three new pieces are up in the Fan Fiction section this week… shouldn’t take you long to read ’em!(Louis Wu 15:21:08 UTC)

AH: Yo, dog…
… I heard you like AHTV, so I put a broadcast in your broadcast, so you can watch while you watch! That’s right, Pimp My Ride will be endured for mass hilarity this Saturday, January 16th, at 10:00 AM PT/1:00 PM ET/6:00 PM GMT. Now, I do also have Army of Two: the 40th Day, so that may make an appearance if Xzibit becomes too much to bear.
So, hit up the Achievement Hunter TV page embedded in our site. Or check this Ustream page out. If you want to view the video or accompanying chatroom, take a look at that.

Ahoy folks. Today I bring forth a couple more Army of Two: The 40th Day videos for your enterjoyment. The first up isn’t for an achievement, but shows how you can put your personal touch on Salem and Rios. Geoff can’t stop putting his personal touch on Rios…it’s creepy.
And up next is our first collecting video in Army of Two, “The Truth Is Right Here” is an achievement that requires you to collect all of the hidden radios throughout the game. Sounds daunting right? It’s not really, especially when you have our guide. Good luck!

RT: Here we go again…
Once your SciFi franchise gets it’s own official nerd language, you know you’re set. Sure, it’ll be the largest grossing movie of all time, but just think of the revenue generated from the next 20 years of cons, action figures, cosplay gear, dinner plates, bed sheets, etc etc etc. Kudos Mr. Cameron.

More concept art for Operation Chastity
Phoenix-06 continues his Operation Chastity concept artwork (we mentioned an older piece in September) – he’s posted a sketch of Robert Savage, a character in the movie. (This is apparently a small piece of a larger pic.) Looking good! Thanks to NoobToob for noticing.(Louis Wu 20:10:46 UTC)

GI’s Reach Coverage looks Backwards
Game Informer is continuing their release schedule of Reach coverage – as promised, a new article is up. It’s not Reach-related, though; it’s a look back at Halo 3: ODST, with some help from Joe Staten. I was interested to read that Firefight was planned for Halo 3, but didn’t make it in because of time constraints. (I had never even heard RUMORS of it before ODST.)(Louis Wu 19:06:48 UTC)

Movies for all
Wanna see a bunch of videos? Head on over to Bungie.net – their Comm Chatter is chock-full today.- Bloogyo released Lawltage 5 – shenanigans abound.
- SilentShadow84 has reated ‘The Coagulator‘ – a 9.5 minute machinima about a guy wearing some armor I’d LOVE to have.
- Camohhh released his first Halo 3 montage, with editing by DS Designs. Music worked really well.
- In ‘Ghosts N Stuff‘, HolyJunkie combined ODST Firefight footage with techno for some Oonsk-flavored carnage. (No, Oonsk doesn’t make an appearance – but I heard him chanted over and over while I watched…)
If that doesn’t occupy your free time this afternoon, you have too much free time.(Louis Wu 18:58:31 UTC)
