Firestream let us know that the Halo Ring website has been massively overhauled – more room for more sites (including a sub-ring for sites of any size!), plus news from around the Haloverse. (Right now, that seems to be the HBO news feed, but keep an eye on the page for more stuff.) If you’re interested in joining the ring, let Firestream know!

    From The Little Moa:

This is the fourth act of the Wings of Equilibria storyline. In this episode, Solstice the Equilibrium Vagabond has been captured by The Coalition of Rebels led by a sadistic man by the name of Vulpes Shadeheart. Fearing for his life, Shaak, Orpe, Harrier, Martin, and BERYL begin their plan to save him from the Empire’s clutches. Sadly, tensions begin to rise from misunderstandings that were created in the previous chapters and rescuing him might not be easy. Will they be able to rescue Solstice in time?

  • Announcement: Halo 3 Done Segmented Project

    —

    by

    halo@bungie.org
    in
We got word from NOKYARD that the High Speed Halo crew is kicking off a new community speed run project – Halo 3 Done Segmented. (This has already been done with Halo and Halo 2 – the projects let multiple speedrunners contribute their per-level expertise to a product that shows off some of the faster tricks out there. Because the levels are done individually, the runners don’t need to be cautious – if something goes wrong, a re-run isn’t the end of the world. What the viewer is left with is pure, unadulterated speed. They’re currently looking for both runners and suggestions for runners – swing by the dedicated forum and see what you can add!(Louis Wu 13:35:15 UTC)

Just realized we’re WAY behind on Achievement HORSE vids; here are the ones we’ve missed. Episodes 71 and 72 were actually using Trials Evolution… but then they got back to Halo. Ep 73: AH | YT and Ep 74: AH | YT both went live without our notice. And while you’re watching Rooster Teeth Vids we’re behind on, go check out Fails of the Weak 84 (AH | YT), because we missed that one, too. (Louis Wu 13:14:49 UTC)

Halo is a fictional universe. However, sometimes we catch sight of things in real life that remind us of our favorite science fiction video game franchise. This particular series, titled Halo in Real Life, showcases those very moments. Enjoy the subtle Halo references sometimes spotted when out and about in the real world, and if you have a picture you’d like to submit for possible future inclusion, send it to bsangel[at]halowaypoint.com!

    From Dust Storm:

The weapons in the Halo Universe have been iconic throughout video games, and the new Railgun will be no exception. There are many similarities between the Railgun as described by Game Informer and other weapons that we’ve seen throughout the history of Halo. To help us shoot our way out of this news, we have Greenskull and JakFireDragon. Enjoy!
