Life is a Game
NeoGAF’s mastrbiggy pointed out a Halo: Reach ‘funtage’ (with a couple of Halo 3 clips) from Bang Bang TV, a french group – it’s not like other montages. It’s Halo… through the lens of the other games you grew up with. And it’s fantastic. You can turn Closed Captioning on if you really need the translation on the few French words shown in the video… or you can just sit back and watch. It’s 14 minutes long, and I, like many others, said “I’m not watching the whole thing!” at the start… only to watch the whole thing. It’s great. (Louis Wu 12:55:33 UTC)

Zipline
FreddieW and his crew posted a short film showing off a very cool zipline in a recent studio they’ve been living in… and at one point, a Master Chief helmet is used as stylish skull protection, adding a touch of Halo to an already awesome moment. Thanks, Ogan Panavo.(Louis Wu 12:43:31 UTC)

Podtacular 288: Speculatory Ops
Download
We take a dark turn into the realm of speculation as we dive into discussions about Spartan Ops, Forge and the NYC VIP event. While we’ve been given a good amount of information about the multiplayer of Halo 4, the rest of the game’s features remain a mystery, left currently to our imaginations and interpretations of out-of-context antics. Enjoy

Tattoo Tuesday: Legendary Ink
Some people show their love for Halo by playing the games. Others get a relevant image permanently placed upon their body. Enjoy this particular example of a Halo-related body modification, and if you have a picture you’d like to submit for possible future inclusion, send it to bsangel[at]halowaypoint.com!

Titan to publish Art of Halo 4
If you (like me!) love to see high-quality art books showing off Halo concept art, you’ll be excited to read the press release currently on Halo Waypoint’s front page. Looks like Titan Books will be publishing ‘Awakening: The Art of Halo 4’ in November – probably timed with the release of the game. I was pretty excited to see that Paul Davies was working on the project… but then I realized it wasn’t the Paul Davies I’m familiar with.(Louis Wu 17:37:29 UTC)

Astronomic
Jake Wheeler has created ‘Astronomic‘ – a video which shows the epic scale of the Halo universe. (His post contains links to two versions – you pick the one you’d rather watch.) It’s not exactly what I’d expected – but it does a fine job of showing off some of the grandiose environments and views we get in the games. Take a look!(Louis Wu 15:48:46 UTC)
