Kampy – 2 Game Montage
Kampy, known for some great montages, posted a small one made from just two games. Usually, this means playing against low-ranking players and racking up huge multikills… but one of the games was against a team that included Tashi, who’s got his own gameplay on display here regularly. Pretty impressive show! Thanks, juices.(Louis Wu 13:52:31 UTC)

Arby ‘n’ The Chief Bytes: Steaks, Taters and Hairy Ticks
There’s a new mini-ep of Arby ‘n’ the Chief up – though ‘mini’, in the context of Arby ‘n’ the Chief, is over 5 minutes. Arby tries to teach Chief about the importance of older games… while Chief explains the error of his ways, and his blasphemy against the Church of Halo. Thanks, Ogan Panavo.(Louis Wu 13:48:08 UTC)

Go watch!(Louis Wu 13:41:38 UTC)

Dust Storm sent word that Podtacular 289 is up – it discusses the events leading up to Halo 4. He also wanted you to know that they’ve kicked off a news-based YouTube series – the first episode is up now, talking about this week’s Halo bulletin, among other things. (Louis Wu 13:36:58 UTC)

mechdesigns – amazing models
Over at NeoGAF, JuanGGZ pointed out a guy who modifies model kits; some of his creations are Halo/Mecha hybrids. There’s a page showing off his GM Halo MkV, a page with some work-in-progress shots of that project, and an older project he’s labeled Master Chief Zaku. Incredible stuff!(Louis Wu 19:40:20 UTC)

Podtacular 289: Then and Now – Campaign Speculation

Halo is widely known for it’s multiplayer gameplay, but for those into the story of Master Chief, you know there is a rich universe that is ever expanding with so many details to drive someone mad. The two mad people on the show today are GrimBrother One from HBO and Slightly Live from Forward Unto Dawn. The discussion is heavily geared to the story between the events of Halo 3 and Halo 4, gathering information from the news that we’ve received and the stories from the books. Enjoy

343 is remastering the universe
Computer and Video Games has a small look at what 343 is showing us… and what they’re continuing to hide. When the small campaign demo shown at a number of events was described by those who played it, some fans expressed unhappiness that we would once again be facing Elites and Grunts; after all, didn’t we finish the fight with them? As CVG makes clear, though, this is just 343’s way of making us feel comfortable before dumping us into totally new environments. What will we face? Well… we don’t know much, yet. And maybe that’s a good thing!(Louis Wu 19:30:25 UTC)

A leak, of sorts… from McFarlane
dogcom stopped by yesterday with some packaging for upcoming McFarlane toys… and the back panel includes pictures of some brand-new enemies we haven’t seen yet. If you’re staying spoiler-free, do NOT visit this thread. GrimBrother One was kind enough to edit forum subject lines to remove any mention of the new characters… we’d love anyone thinking about speculating to keep in mind that spoilers should NOT go in subject lines. Thanks! (Louis Wu 19:24:04 UTC)

Mail Sack (Reversed) 17
Bungie has a new Mail Sack online… sort of. It’s a reverse Mail Sack – Bungie asked the questions, FANS answered. Surprisingly interesting reading! (I guess i shouldn’t be surprised – after all, I’ve known for years how creative and resourceful fans are…)(Louis Wu 19:22:53 UTC)

This Outcome is not Canon
Quirel let us know about a pretty cool video called “The Art of the Instakill”, which shows off some of videogaming’s most notable one-hit-kill weapons and the characters who wield them. It can be assumed that Halo shows up in a brutal way. Also thanks to DustStorm for reminding me that the video was produced by Corridor Digital. Go and check it out! (GrimBrother One 14:29:15 UTC)
