Major Nelson has just confirmed via his Twitter account that Microsoft will discontinue XBox Live for the original XBox, as well as original XBox titles playable on the XBox 360. The change will happen on the April 15th this year, with the first step being to remove auto-renewal for those gamers who only play on the V1 console.

How will this affect 360 owners? Well, supporting the original XBox has limited XBox Live’s potential, so once this change goes ahead we should notice changes to XBox Live for the better, though what exactly these changes will be is still unconfirmed.

That’s right, we here at Achievement Hunter landed an early copy of Dante’s Inferno and have already started chipping away at the achievements laced throughout the game.

With the blessing of Viscreal Games and EA, we are releasing a few of these videos before the game is even available on the shelves!

I’ve had the game now for about a week and I’ve been having a blast with it. Serious fun in some crazy environments. Give it a shot when it hits next week.
