  • The Ghost Shroom on Death Island

Mator continues his work on half-buried Ghosts – this time, he shows you how to set up this complicated trick on Halo PC’s Death Island. Looks like work!(Louis Wu 13:52:02 UTC)

  • Podtacular 291: Pre-Order Goodies

    Download
Last week, we started to see retailers who are accepting pre-orders for Halo 4 list their bonus content that will be available with the game when shipped. These bonuses come in unlockable armor skins and emblems for you to use with your Spartan IV. Some of the bonuses are available from multiple retailers, but each region seems to have their exclusive holders of certain bonus items, making it a nightmare for all of those collectable people. We have CruelLEGACEY on the show to talk about some behind-the-scenes stuff for Season 3 of his Waypoint machinima series: Playtime. Enjoy

  • Of Audio Books and Game Case Arrangement

Last night yours truly joined Justin for Episode 49 of the Drunken Halo Podcast. What started out as a discussion on Glasslands eventually took some weird turns that included a state-of-the-gaming-union soapbox dissertation and storytime with the Burger King. It’s both less, and more, bizzare than it sounds. Give it a listen!(GrimBrother One 18:55:00 UTC)

  • Halo IRL: A Spartan a Day

Halo is a fictional universe. However, sometimes we catch sight of things in real life that remind us of our favorite science fiction video game franchise. This particular series, titled Halo in Real Life, showcases those very moments. Enjoy the subtle Halo references sometimes spotted when out and about in the real world, and if you have a picture you’d like to submit for possible future inclusion, send it to bsangel[at]halowaypoint.com!

    Halo 3 Screenshot

The Halo Waypoint forums are currently down for maintenance. Apparently they wanted the day off to hang out amongst the visible masses of liquid droplets in the sky. While we anticipate them staying suspended in the atmosphere, we do expect them to be back online later today. If you don’t think you can survive another second without talking to your fellow forum goers, you can chat with them (using 140 characters or less) via the Halo Waypoint Twitter list.

    From Halomapraterz:

Halo Map Raters shows off maps created by the community through reviews and gameplay. Some members of the community (Larry Tanng, Francis, and jediforce6) have created a sick version of what they think Wraparound will look like, but in Halo: Reach Forge. Enjoy!

    From AgentPaperCraft:

Test Night with a Cartographer is a weekly event dedicated to the forgers of Waypoint. Bring your map and your “A” game as we provide professional feedback on your custom content creations. We start at 6pm on Wednesdays, and we test a variety of content throughout the night. The cool thing about this event is you have the possibility of having your content considered for matchmaking through the Community Cartographers, which is a major stepping stone in getting your name out there as a forger. More information can be found here.

Join us this week as we test a variety of the community’s content!

How… efficient) for folks preording the Limited Edition.)(Louis Wu 14:31:18 UTC)

    From Alex:

This is a Halo 3 dualtage from h0lmb0m and Grilljake, edited by h0lmb0m himself, entitled, “Jaymocking” (you’ll understand the title when you watch the video). The gameplay is unconventional to say the least, but given how similar montages are nowadays, it’s a wonderful breath of fresh air. The editing is well done, some of the custom medals look really good, and both the soundtrack and ending are great. Overall, this is a fantastic, original video, which is definitely worth the watch. Enjoy!
