Spectator Mode in Halo 4 – Deathless
Something competitive Halo fans have been clamoring for has been ‘Spectator Mode’ – a way to control the view inside a competitive match that’s not connected to any of the actual contestants. It seemed a couple of days ago that 343 had made themselves pretty clear on the subject: bs angel tweeted that there would be no Spectator Mode in Halo 4. Proponents haven’t given up, though; u4iX is back with a short writeup explaining what it is that they’re asking for. (I guess he’s worried that the ‘no’ is coming from a misconception of the scope of the request.) Seems like 4 months before release is not a great time to be pushing this… but it’s an interesting discussion. Thanks, CyReN. (Louis Wu 14:36:16 UTC)

Better Late than Never…
Goodness. I have no clue how I didn’t get it posted yet… but I managed to forget to mention last night’s Halo Bulletin. Sorry! Swing by for a mouthwatering look at Tuesday night’s dinner at the Waypoint offices, some very cool information about the Promethean Crawlers, and details about the Halo Waypoint File Share functionality. And other little tidbits. As always, we have a local copy, if you’d rather. Sorry for the delay!(Louis Wu 21:29:53 UTC)

Halo 2 Sacred Icon Insanity
Grumpy is back with another funky Halo 2 trick – this time, he found a new kind of Gondola pressure launch. There are also Green Door shenanigans. First up: Anakade has a tutorial on how to overload the first canyon, and then pressure launch to the top. Then, Grumpy has a tutorial showing how to make the Green Door go away (and check out that Phantom, waiting patiently for him!). Finally, Grumpy uses a Phantom flip launch all the way to the top… Wild. (Louis Wu 17:24:16 UTC)

HaloChallenges.com – Mine Goes to Eleven
From HC Redemption:
Okay, Nigel… We’ve got nine weapon-based objectives demanding you to crank it up to 11 and do some work. The guidelines of this challenge are simple. Earn at least 11 kills in a single game for each of the weapons listed below. You may play any game type found in the Anniversary, Competitive, or Community playlists of Halo: Reach Matchmaking. Select your game type, choose your weapon, and have at it!

Of course, we always frown on players stat padding, cheating, or otherwise pooping on the gaming experience other players typically enjoy having. So basically, we’re just asking you to play nice. Click the link below for more information on how to participate!
