Emerald City ComiCon – now with Halo goodness
CaptainTony pointed out that 343 Industries will be present at the Emerald City ComiCon on March 13, to discuss recent releases and upcoming Halo developments. And bentllama waited until his mouth wasn’t full of pancakes to tell folks that he will be one of the artists in Artist Alley – he’ll be doing live digital sketching, and charity commissions! (There’ll be plenty of other Halo-related artists there, too, he says.) If you’re in the Seattle area, don’t miss it!(Louis Wu 13:01:04 UTC)

AH: Portal on Steam "tuned" for sequel?

Portal on Steam has received a shiny new patch from Valve, but the patch description has left gamers scratching their heads; “changed radio transmission frequency to comply with federal and state spectrum management regulations.” But remember the odd radio you would find through out the game? There’s now one in each level, which, when taken to a specific area of the level will “tune in” to a hidden message.
It’s yet to be confirmed, but finding either one or all of these messages may unlock a new Steam achievement titled “Transmission Received.” And the messages themselves seem to range from technical jargon and cryptic messages to the down right strange. Still, the clues in the messages could be linked to the AI GLaDOS, transmitting throughout the Aperture Science facility, possibly transferring parts of herself. We’re still looking for the official answer, but a Portal sequel is the top favourite rumour spreading through the internet.
Got Portal on Steam? See if you could get us the whole story.

The Return of an Old Friend
Not sure how many of you remember Mike Hill; he created some truly spectacular Halo artwork in 2005 and 2006. We haven’t heard from him in a while – but today, he found a piece he’d whipped up last year, just an idea for MJOLNIR armor development. It’s a tad tall for wallpaper, but it’s GORGEOUS. Take a look. (Louis Wu 23:24:27 UTC)

Serious video droppage on Bungie’s Comm Chatter today:- The Trailer Park: Bob of the Dead warns you about Matchmaking dangers.
- ChrisOfTheDead’s Shenanigans 6 is just that – shenanigans.
- Lucid is a Halo 3 montage from KayEmX, FKIV, and Stevis.
- The West Virginia Community Montage is exactly that – a montage from West Virginia players. (Really rapid cuts.)
- WatchThis!Gaming has posted their 8th Halo 3, Top 5 Plays video. I liked the invisible ninja guy.
- IGN’s Top 10 Halo 3 Kills for February 24th (how’d we miss this?) has some really fun kills.
Is that enough for you?(Louis Wu 22:39:39 UTC)
