Put your best face on
Gilver pointed out that an article at IGN discusses the licensing of Image Metrics’ facial animation code, known as Faceware – they don’t mention Reach by name, but Xmoosev3 reminded us that the Game Informer article confirmed that Reach would be using this middleware. If you’re a fan of what Image Metrics can do, this is great news!(Louis Wu 17:22:36 UTC)

AH: Get your face in Dead Space 2

If you’ve ever thought that dismemberment in Dead Space could be done better, now’s your chance to prove it. Visceral Games is looking for text, image and video submissions that detail an original melee kill delivered by Isaac Clarke, that may potentially be used in Dead Space 2!
Head to the Dead Space contest page for more information and to submit your work. The contest is open until the 26th of March, after that the submissions will enter a judging phase where ten finalists will be chosen. The winner from those finalists will be chosen by a two week public vote, the nine runner s up will have their names dropped into the game.
The winner, however, will not only have their melee attack included in Dead Space 2, but their face will be on a character that will be violently murdered, though the specifics of how haven’t been given away.On a side note…
Achievement Challenge 11 sign ups have recently opened, head over to the Achievement Challenges group for more details.

RT: Grifball Expansion #3 on Waypoint
The third and final episode of the Grifball Expansion Mini-Series is now up on Halo Waypoint. Go check it out and let us know what you think. If you’ve already seen it, you can skip the ‘checking it out’ part and go straight to ‘letting us know’ part.
And don’t forget that the new season of Red vs Blue will begin on April 1, 2010 and that we will be premiering the first three episodes of the new season at PAX East during our Saturday March 27th panel at 3:00PM. If you’re an RvB fan, this is not a screening you will want to miss.

Less is more.
MAX2107 sent us word that he’d created a “simple wallpaper showcasing the previewed armor ability emblems from Halo: Reach that were shown in the recent multi-player trailer”. Simple, yes – the part he neglected to mention was ‘super-cool’. Go look.(Louis Wu 22:19:11 UTC)

So THAT’S why the trophies look so cool!
TheGelo, cousin to Cody Brigan (check our news for info about his contest trophies), stopped in with word of a custom-painted Spartan of his own. Check the link for some really impressive shots!(Louis Wu 22:14:44 UTC)

Kaboom.
Today’s Tag and Release feature at Bungie.net hinges on the word ‘Bomb’ – the results aren’t quite as explosive as I’d expected, but they’re still some great shots. Go look.(Louis Wu 22:06:45 UTC)
