Gamers Raise Money for Child’s Play Charity with Third Annual Halo Marathon
From Kyle:
A charity gaming marathon is an event where gamers play through a game or series of games and stream it online while collecting donations for charities that they support. The Omnithon team is doing this for the sixth time to help Child’s Play Charity with their third annual Halo marathon.
Child’s Play is a charity “dedicated to improving the lives of children in hospitals around the world through the kindness and generosity of the video game community and the power of play.” Over almost a decade, it has raised over ten million dollars for those children, donations which Cameron D. Hosner, President & CEO of the Children’s Hospital of Michigan, says will “support seriously-ill children in hospitals by distracting them from their illnesses, and help them cope with fear, anxiety, and boredom.”
Over a period of two years, the Omnithon team has raised over five thousand dollars throughout five marathons including Halo: Endurance Evolved, Retrothon and the Fallout 3 Marathon, through the power of audience interaction, and by playing games in a way that the audience can relate to. The viewers of the marathon aren’t just an audience. They are participants, and valued members of the team.
The event begins at www.omnithon.com on August 3rd at 5:00 PM Pacific, and will stretch on for over sixty hours. Be there to watch, chat and donate to a great cause.

Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn – Interview with Daniel Cudmore
From Greenskull:I had the opportunity to fly to Vancouver, BC and check out the set of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. I was joined by my fellow Halo Waypoint Monitors and community members Nevin Douglas (CruelLEGACEY) and Jeff Easterling (GrimBrotherOne). We hung around the set, met the cast and crew, and filmed some interviews with the talented actors and 343 Industries employees that helped make the series possible.
In this video, I interview Daniel Cudmore, the talented actor behind the suit of the Master Chief. Cudmore has appeared in films such as X-Men and Twilight.

Podtacular 300 – 7th Year Anniversary

From Dust Storm:
It has been seven years and 300 episodes since Podtacular made its drop into the Halo Universe. Many people have come and gone throughout the history of the show and community, but they’ve all left their marks, most importantly, Mike Funk or foomojive. He is the founder of Podtacular, and we wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for his vision. So today we celebrate what Podtacular has been and where it is headed within the Halo Universe and communities at large. There are many others that have helped shape Podtacular in unique ways, and their labor is a result of what you see today. Join us as we celebrate 300 episodes and seven years of Podtacular.

Prodigy – A Halo: Reach Montage
From FBWalshyFTW:This is the Halo: Reach dualtage of teammates Robbie B. and Treason, edited by Fustercluck, entitled, “Prodigy.” The gameplay is great, featuring a lot of sick Multikills (most of which are at overall and beyond, some of which are on known names). I expected heavier editing for a pro tage, but the editing is by no means terrible, featuring good syncing and a solid flow, while allowing the stellar gameplay to speak for itself. A job well done to everyone involved, especially for a 13+ minute video. Enjoy!
