Halo 3 – coming to Games on Demand
ElzarTheBam noticed that Halo 3 is due to be released on Xbox LIVE Marketplace’s Games On Demand service on April 20, according to Major Nelson. If you’ve got more hard drive space than shelf space, this might be a good option! No word on price yet.(Louis Wu 18:08:34 UTC)

Setting Records
EnsnaredCadaver becomes the latest Halo speedrunner to make it into the Guinness Book of World Records – according to NOKYARD yesterday (sorry, NOKYARD!), EnsnaredCadaver is included in the Guinness World Records 2010: Gamers Edition, Console FPS section, top of page 49:“4 MIN 15 SEC… the time it took Josh “EnsnaredCadaver” Hardy (USA), to complete Halo 3 level Floodgate without killing any enemies – the fastest “pacifist” Halo 3 speed run.”
You can see the run on YouTube, or check out other Pacifist runs at HSH.(Louis Wu 18:03:18 UTC)

Things that go boom
Bungie’s updated their Halo Reach Ordnance page with details about some of the stuff that we got pictures of yesterday. Did you know that the Gravity Hammer’s pulse is about 4.5 meters wide? (I dunno – sometimes playing Grifball, I think it’s about 4 times that…) (Louis Wu 18:02:47 UTC)

AH: Dead Space 2 Competition Update

You guys may remember this post a few weeks ago detailing the competition Visceral Games are holding for Dead Space 2. Well, they’re down to the 10 finalists that are guarenteed a mention in the game at some point, one of them though happens to be a member of our site, Nantonaku. She’s done some amazing artwork for her entry, so it’s no surprise she’s one of the top ten.
But maybe top ten just isn’t good enough, maybe Nontonaku should win, but how do we help? Well, by logging into Facebook and voting for her submission!
Voting ends on the 19th, so get busy, and let’s help a fellow Achievement Hunter earn her place in Dead Space 2.
Speaking of competitions…
There are still plenty of spots open in the Modern Warfare 2 War Face tournament, enter and you could be in with a chance of winning the Stimulus Pack DLC.

I’d love to see Grunts wielding these.
Over at Hawty McBloggy’s, you can see a working plasma pistol… built from Bionicles. (Well, ‘working’ means ‘fires little green balls’, not ‘will melt metal’.) Pretty cool!(Louis Wu 13:53:16 UTC)
