Every Monday, we feature a community member who does one or more of the following things: routinely goes above and beyond for their fellow forum members, is a positive and active member of the community, and/or sends me mass amounts of cat pictures. This week our Community Member of the Week is THEscourse. Read a little more about him below, then hit his profile to learn what exactly he has against numbers!

Gamertag: THEscourse.
Origin of Gamertag: My name is meant to be pronounced “the source”, because I was the first one out of all my friends to get the news about the new video games coming out.
Current clan/community: I’m I wanderer of sorts. I’ve never been with a clan, as I don’t like having to change my GT, emblem, or Spartan’s look. I more so prefer the environment of playing with friends. But I’m a really competitive player!
Halo game(s) you are currently playing: Reach, Halo 3, Halo Wars, and ODST.
Favorite map, game type and playlist: My favorite maps have to be Last Resort, Guardian, The Pit, Sanctuary, and Sword Base. I tend to prefer symmetrical maps. My favorite game types are Slayer and CTF. Infinity Slayer looks promising. My favorite playlist is Team Slayer, Swat, MLG, and Big Team Battle.
Least favorite map, game type and playlist: Map: Reflection and Powerhouse. Game type: Rockethog Race. Playlist: Grifball.
Preferred control scheme: Recon, all the way. 7 sensitivity, default (no inversion).
Halo playing style (offense, defense, sniper, driver, etc.): Defensive sniper, though I change spots frequently so I don’t get pinned down.
Favorite character: Cortana, she definitely makes the game for me. Johnson is right in second place, though.
Favorite Halo quote: Cortana – “Bet you can’t stick it.” Chief – “You’re on.”
Anything else we should know? I fell in love with Halo pretty late in comparison to most. I occasionally played Halo 2’s multiplayer at my friend’s house and loved the way it played. I just could never save up enough for an Xbox. Some time had passed and eventually I saved up enough money to purchase an Xbox 360, got all the Halo games and beat them each of Heroic and Legendary. I was so captivated by this universe that Bungie had created, everything felt right and in place. I realized Halo was my game when I activated the hardlight bridge on the mission “Halo” on CE. The beach battle on “The Silent Cartographer” just reeled me in. I could go on and on for days about how wonderful the Halo franchise is, but I’m sure you all get the point. I’m so stoked about Halo 4 and 343 industries, and I’m sure that we will have another amazing 10 years of Halo.
