Wasn’t Left Enough.
This isn’t really Halo content, but if you’ve ever watched MLG Pro Ninja’s Halo stream, you know what he sounds like when he’s playing… and ‘calm’ is NOT a good word to describe him, most of the time. Which makes this ad for Rhinomite, a non-violent superhero game, all the more touching. Great piece! Thanks, PNut.(Louis Wu 16:54:21 UTC)

Unlock and Load Double XP
Following up on their popular Double XP promotion with Modern Warfare 3, Mountain Dew (and Doritos) will be kicking off Double XP for Halo 4, starting on October 14. The site is currently just a teaser placeholder… but the rules can be made visible, for anyone who wants to read them. (The site goes officially live on October 1.) Looks like drinking Dew and munching Doritos will let you double the rate of experience earned in-game… and get you entered for a few bigger prizes. Take a look!(Louis Wu 16:41:54 UTC)

Sparkast 016

After a slight delay, the 343 Sparkast is back to bring you the latest info about Halo 4. We all love hearing about the hows and whys of the design decisions behind our favorite tools of destruction. With that in mind, we thought it be a great idea to have Chris Blohm (Senior Sandbox Designer) and Chris King (Lead Sandbox Designer) join Josh Holmes (Creative Director), Frank O’Connor (Franchise Development Director) and David Ellis (Spartan Ops Designer) to talk about Halo 4’s complete combat sandbox. In this episode, we’re dishing details about weapons, armor abilities, armor mods and vehicles.
Below is the usual collection of links to download this episode and subscribe to the 343 Sparkast (so you can get every episode delivered automatically) through your favorite aggregator. Get to clicking, and to listening.
