High-profile toy spotting
We have a pretty strict no-politics policy on our forum, but this isn’t really politics, per se… Mig noticed that Halo toys show up at the beginning of one of the most recent Obama promotion pieces. Nice!(Louis Wu 16:27:32 UTC)

Tattoo Tuesday: Legendary Halo Tattoo
Some people show their love for Halo by playing the games. Others get a relevant image permanently placed upon their body. Enjoy this particular example of a Halo-related body modification, and if you have a picture you’d like to submit for possible future inclusion, send it to bsangel[at]halowaypoint.com!

MLG celeb Walshy has released a video that looks at how grenades have worked in past Halo games… and speculates on what this means in Halo 4. I found it fascinating – definitely worth your time. Thanks, Pok3R Fac3D. (Louis Wu 16:10:08 UTC)

Podtacular 312 – Making Prometheans, Covenant Weaponry

From Dust Storm:Since we talked to the Halo Council on our last show, it’s time for us to play catch-up and cover the last two Bulletins. Our first discussion is about the Return of the Forerunners video and what it will be like to fight a brand new enemy. With the Prometheans being more integrated with each other than the Covenant, combat strategies for Campaign and Spartan Ops are going to change. We also talk about the Covenant Weaponry video and the whole arsenal at our disposal when Halo 4 drops at our doors. Finally, we take what the community has to say about the Bulletins as we address our submissions.

Snyde Remarks
Recently, 343 Industries’ Lead Campaign Designer, Jesse Snyder, took some time to take some questions from the community over Twitter. Fortunately, he decided to forgo the 140-character limitation of the little bird network and post the answers on his blog. It’s a really great read, and it might answer some questions you have yourself. Go and check it out! Thanks to Vire for pointing it out.(GrimBrother One 20:22:17 UTC)

Community Member of the Week: A 3 Legged Goat
Every Monday, we feature a community member who does one or more of the following things: routinely goes above and beyond for their fellow forum members, is a positive and active member of the community, and/or sends me mass amounts of cat pictures. This week our Community Member of the Week is A 3 Legged Goat. Read a little more about him below, then hit his profile to learn more about ma-a-a-a-a!
Gamertag: A 3 Legged Goat.
Origin of Gamertag: It’s a long story, but the short version is that I had several encounters with the animals a while ago before I made this tag. I wanted it to be something funny in the kill feed, so when I was thinking of funny things that had happened to me, the goat occurrences came to mind. Some people think it’s innuendo, though…
Current clan/community: I spent most of my Reach days with Reaching Perfection after my own group, The Guardianz, had dispersed. I also spent time with the Halo Wheelmen, Blueprint, Satyros (rip), and Forge Hub. I’ll be revisiting some of these communities in the coming months, but my main focus for Halo 4 will be Halo Haven.
Halo game(s) you are currently playing: Mostly Halo 2 and Halo 3 these days.
Favorite map, game type and playlist: CE – Rat Race, Ice Fields, and Danger Canyon. H2 – Sanctuary and Relic CTF; Snipers on Lockout. H3 – Standoff or Rat’s Nest CTF. Reach – Battle Canyon Slayer and Ridgeline CTF.
Least favorite map, game type and playlist: CE – I didn’t like Chiron. H2 – Anything on Coagulation. H3 – Heavies on any map. Reach – AR starts on Uncaged.
Preferred control scheme: Bumper Jumper in H3 and ODST; Default in Reach. As long as it’s easy to crouch and use abilities, I’m okay with it. Usually on 3-4 sensitivity, and I stopped playing with vibration because it used to throw off my aim. I can also only play on a controller that is broken in.
Halo playing style (offense, defense, sniper, driver, etc.): I’m the jack of all trades, master of none. I don’t really excel in any field but if I had to restrict myself to a role, it would be support. I’m usually the guy watching the sniper’s back, running with the objective carrier, or defending a teammate as he runs back to base with the laser.
Favorite character: Both the Master Chief and Cortana. There’s something about the Chief that just makes me feel heroic and important, and I really like how calm and identifiable he is. Cortana is the witty brainy chick who’s stuck in his head, and hearing her yell at me for most of the first two games was something I really missed in Halo 3.
Favorite Halo quote: “Get in line.” – Heretic Leader in Halo 2 on Elites wanting to kill him. “Take my advice, Rookie – you ever fall for a woman, make sure she’s got balls.” Buck in ODST. “If they came to hear me beg, they will be disappointed.” Thel in Halo 2.
Anything else we should know? I’m not really a goat!

Halo 4 Preview Event Recap, by Haloathon

From Dan:On Wednesday, we traveled south through various puddles and eventually made it to London in time for the Halo 4 Preview event taking place at Covent Garden. We jumped straight in and started playing War Games. This was a newer build from the one we played at Manchester, and all the player content was unlocked so we could literally try out all the weapon loadouts, abilities, and armour styles. We also had access to a lot more maps and game types, Flood being my new favourite.
