Reach Freebies
BuzzJuice found some cool info at IGN – first, it looks like the weekend of May 14 has been designated a “Halo Multiplayer Unlock Weekend”, so anyone with a copy of ODST can play, whether or not they’re paying for Xbox LIVE. NICE! Second, anyone who plays at least one game in the beta and visits Waypoint will receive a Halo: Reach avatar hoodie. ALSO NICE! Full details in the IGN article.(Louis Wu 15:58:46 UTC)

Live Show for Podtacular 226
We will be broadcasting live for episode 226, where we will give our first impressions on the Beta. We will be doing this on the livestream channel so we have the chat room to submit your thoughts. We will be playing Halo: Reach for most of the day and will break to do a podcast. If we have a big enough party to fill up a room, we will do a map review for each map and gametype we can get our hands on and release a complimentary video (if we can). We will be airing at 3:00PM Eastern (tentative) so make sure to show up.
UPDATE: Because of the late release of Reach, we will be postponing our show until Wednesday.

Bungie Enters into Partnership with Activision
Well, this is a bit of a shocker, but Bungie has just announced a 10-year publishing agreement with Activision for their next IP. This raises a few questions since Activision publishes for multiple consoles. In the agreement, Bungie will retain the ownership of its new IP and will remain an independent company. Also, what does Microsoft have to say about this? For more info, check out Joystiq’s post here. Thanks to PK for posting this in the forums.

RT: New RvB Revelation, RT Spring Update and Store Sale!
Hey Everyone,
there’s been a ton going on here at Rooster Teeth lately, so we thought we should give everyone a brief update. First of all, the 8th season of Red vs. Blue, “Revelation,” is in full swing. The 4th episode went live last night, and if you haven’t seen any of the new season yet, you should really catch up. There have been a few changes…
We’ve also just launched a new season of RT Shorts. The first video, “Prototype,” is in the archive. This video contains some sensitive information, so hopefully we won’t get arrested and have our computers confiscated by the police for showing it to you.
And last but not least, we’re having a one-week, 10%-off-everything store sale. Just use the code “revelation” at checkout to receive your discount. It’s good on everything in our online store, but you need to hurry. The code expires Monday, May 3rd.
For even more news on what’s been going on at RT, check out this detailed update. And if you’re not a member of the site, you can still sign up for our mailing list so you don’t miss anything.

AH: Gamers Rapport – 009: In the Past

This week’s Gamers Rapport brings the gravy as always. Smack dab in the middle of Knuckles’ Slump Game AHTV of Fallout 3, the crew talk about the L4D2 Passing DLC, 8bit gushes about Monster Hunter Tri, and Fragger, well, Fragger’s just Fragger. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. A little Weekend Hunt talks, discussion about gaming trailers and music top out this episode. Give it a whirl.
Those voices in your head are none other than Knuckles Dawson, Fragger, & 8BitBass.
Don’t forget to join the Gamers Rapport Group for all the latest news and discussion.
