Friday’s Fan Fiction News
The Fan Fiction section has been augmented with six new pieces – go read ’em! Also on the fanfic front, we got word from MaxRealflugel that a consortium of Bungie.net groups (FanFicFactor, The Mirratord and The Writing Guild) have gotten together to put together a fan-created fan fiction/fanart collection called Revolutions. (Yes, it’s modeled after Halo: Evolutions.) It should be available this fall in PDF format. When it’s been released, we’ll let you know!(Louis Wu 13:55:56 UTC)

Reach Continues in the News
More Reach coverage – CNet has a 37-minute video podcast in which Reach is played (the Campaign footage is the same as we’ve seen a dozen times during E3, but the Firefight footage is worth watching – Halo footage starts around 17 minutes in), and Joystiq has a preview with… well, no new info. Thanks to Domino Theory and Dani, respectively, for the links. Update: Another article at Kotaku, discussing difficulty – thanks, GrimBrother One.(Louis Wu 17:57:08 UTC)

RT: Drunk Tank #67
Starting with this week’s Drunk Tank, we are now releasing “enhanced” podcasts. You should check it out, it allows us to display images and links for you to click while listening to the podcast so you don’t have to switch windows over to the link dump constantly. If you’re audio program doesn’t support it, we also are still offering an mp3 file and the traditional link dump. You can get the podcast via iTunes, Zune Marketplace, or via direct download (or the mp3 version). You can always check out more info about what we discuss and talk about the podcast with other listeners at our official podcast group. Enjoy!
If you have some time to spare, we are conducting a survey on people who listen to the podcast. It is totally optional and if there are any questions you don’t want to answer, please feel free to leave them blank. There is a short 3-4 minute version and a longer 6-7 minute version.
