Halo 4 Screenshot Extractor – on the web
We’ve mentioned screenshot extractors in the past – but I’ve never seen a web-based version before. Armor Watcher has a web page that will take a saved screenshot file (that you’ve grabbed off your Xbox with a USB drive) and yank out the pic for your use in other places. Pretty slick! Thanks, MrGreencastle. (Louis Wu 18:16:33 UTC)

What ELSE is on the cutting room floor?
More fun content found in the game files (but not actually in-game anywhere) – looks like Jeff Steitzer recorded the line “Stop shooting your teammates!” at one point. (I’m guessing it didn’t get put into the game because it’s fun enough that folks would shoot their teammates just to hear it…) Thanks to Pok3R Fac3D, who found it on the Halo subreddit.(Louis Wu 17:41:23 UTC)

Maptastrophe – the tributes continue
In 2006, Insidi0us gave us Maptacular – an incredible romp through the original Halo multiplayer maps, with a lot of care on clean transitions and consistent scoring/weapons. A couple of years later, BigV1027 paid tribute with Maptrocity, a similar jaunt through Halo 3 maps. (Not quite as clean, but still a lot of fun.) Today, DefendTheHouse (the folks behind the spectacular Halo Mythbusters videos) released Maptastrophe, their vision of this concept realized in Halo 4. (Thanks, Nando13.) I love the idea. I’m not quite as thrilled with the execution… but judge it for yourself!(Louis Wu 20:03:30 UTC)
