Forbes Talks About the Halo Competitive Scene
Forbes contributor Paul Tassi takes a look at why Halo 4 was dropped from the MLG Circuit and the state of competitive Halo. Tassi doesn’t think Halo 4 is a bad game, but with the added mechanics he doesn’t see Halo 4 as a viable eSport anymore. Interesting read! Thanks, CyReN. (mastrbiggy 07:19:30 UTC)

Chief and His Shih Tzu
Press Paws, a charity art show dedicated to saving animals with art and video games, commissioned artists to create works of art – Master Chief found his way into two of the pieces. Jeff Delgado created a collage of video game characters turned man’s best friend. I rather enjoy the idea of Canine Chief – spinoff please! The second piece, by Aaron Jasinksi, is of Master Chief taking his Shih Tzu for a stroll, LOVE IT! Thanks, Hypertrooper.(mastrbiggy 05:34:13 UTC)

Timmy Needs A New Disc
The Bungie webmaster (never positively identified but vaguely described as a gorilla in a cowboy hat) seems to have been supplanted by Deej doing an impression of Alaistair Cooke. This would appear to be the first in a weekly series leading up to what we hope will be the Destiny reveal at GDC in March 2013. Like the Webmaster and the Mailbag, Deej is here dealing directly with missives from Bungiefen. Although this fan seems a bit confused about who made Halo 4…

Halo 4 Campaign: Requiem

Download
Continuing our journey in the Halo 4 Campaign, the Master Chief crash lands on Requiem in the remains of the Forward Unto Dawn and other Covenant ships that got sucked in with you. There’s no doubt that there are Covenant that made it down with you too. Near the very beginning of the level, there is one part that truly shows how beautiful the game looks on 7 year old hardware, but don’t let that keep you for too long. Remember, you need to figure out where you are. We are joined by B2theRyanNewman to help cover the mission. Enjoy

(The original article is unchanged; only the Cascade Scaling images are new. You can jump right to the top level of this series if you’re in a hurry.)(Louis Wu 20:52:39 UTC)
