Get your hands on some Halo stuff
DocOctavius is selling off some his Halo schwag – he wanted HBO readers to know about a relatively rare Joyride action figure (you’ve got a day and a half). Other stuff coming… so keep an eye on his account!(Louis Wu 20:51:52 UTC)

Does Coors need a new spokesman?
What does Master Chief need after shooting one too many ugly bugs? A little frosty brew, of course.(Louis Wu 20:49:44 UTC)

Hey Chief, let’s do it again
bs angel noticed a blog called ‘Master Chief Off Duty‘ – it’s a lot like Halo Action Figure Theater, except without the plotlines. Master Chief cleans up his house, takes a break by the pool, has a picnic with a friend, gambles a bit. Pictures are great! Looking forward to future updates.(Louis Wu 20:05:56 UTC)

AH: Next Gears Of War 2 extra XP event with a twist.
Just recently Rod Fergusson (Executive Producer of the Gears of War) stated on his twitter:
Ok, here’s my bribe. The SDCC XP event will be # of my followers divided by 500. So 4000 followers means 8x XP.
That means we should get this man a metric TON of followers! I think we can get his account up to 10k don’t you think?
Rod Fergusson’s Twitter Account is at 4,027 right now! (as of 7:15 PM EST he is now at 7,048 followers!)
Rod Fergusson’s just set the limit to 10,000 followers, so a maximum of 20x XP. And we hit that limit at around 11:30 AM EST! Congrats! We now have a 20s XP Event in Gears 2 starting around next Friday!

AH: DeathSpank: Menu Hero Achievement Guide
Greetings, citizens!
Knuckles here with a special, if not a little simple, DeathSpank video. There are a few things going down behind the scenes that make this video more special than meets the eye. First off, Adam Pisani, of Fallout 3 and Force Unleashed video fame, moved in with me at the end of June, which means I have a wingman for my video voice overs. Secondly, because of the move in, I get to use a Hauppauge HD PVR to capture my Achievements, emphasis on HD. So this is my first (of many) HD videos for Achievement Hunter, and (first of many) VOs done with Adam. (Let me say that capturing in Standard Definition, and having to play SD on a 67′ HDTV is really off putting.) Either way, good things are on the way from the Great White North. Stay tuned, and enjoy this first HD vidjo from yours truly, albeit a quickie.

Details on Halo Marketplace changes
TCKaos pointed out that in the Xbox LIVE Marketplace Spotlight, there’s a video called ‘Add-ons, Avatar Gear, Arcade’ that details some of the new goodies coming on July 22. The Legendary Map Pack drops in price to 160 MS Points (that’s just over a buck!), while the Mythic Map Pack is reduced to 400 Points. (For comparison, those prices are currently 600 and 800 Points, respectively.) The new avatar goodies are also revealed (screenshot here) – note the ‘Helmet not available until game releases’ warning at the bottom.(Louis Wu 19:03:01 UTC)
