One Minute Opinion: Extraction Playlist
Beyond Entertainment’s Clicked is back with a new series – this one is called ‘One Minute Opinion’, and the first episode focuses on the Extraction gametype. Don’t be fooled – it’s not one minute long (it’s actually more than 3 minutes) – but it IS a quick look at the gametype, and includes both a summary of how it works and Clicked’s feelings towards it. Worth a watch! Thanks, CyReN.(Louis Wu 20:47:14 UTC)

Best of the Community – A Halo 4 Montage
From HT Edge:Although it may not seem like it at first, I spent a lot of time on this project. I’m not a big editor of any kind but I thought I would spend more time on producing montages instead of creating weekly montages for fun. Enjoy!

Gussied Up and Ready to Dance
The Halo Waypoint Bulletin went live last night – in it you’ll find an interview with Greg Bear, plus the weekly Matchmaking update (Team Fiesta is making an appearance next week!), a Fan Question of the Week, and a bunch of screenshots. As always, you can read it in our Halo Bulletin Archive – quite a bit lighter if bytes matter.(Louis Wu 16:51:38 UTC)

pete the overachieving duck
pete_the_duck decided to review the FPS Freek Infinity addons – but being pete_the_duck, he wasn’t content with just a ‘these made my scores go up’ or ‘I liked the way these felt’. No… he went a little farther than that. He built a map and a gametype specifically designed to measure his accuracy before and after application. Great stuff!(Louis Wu 16:41:39 UTC)

Wanna know which SpOps mission has 82 Crawlers?
Heh. A couple of days ago, Morpheus asked for help putting together a document which could help players decide which levels would be useful when trying to complete certain Spartan Ops-based challenges. When he griped today that nobody had responded, TDSpiral pointed out that such a document already exists – it was created by Wes Henry a couple of months ago. Ask, and (often) ye shall receive!(Louis Wu 16:29:08 UTC)

Podtacular – Halo 4 Campaign, Forerunner

From Dust Storm:You’re continuing your pursuit of the mysterious signal that appears to be coming from the core of Requiem. When you get there, rather than finding the Infinity, you find what seems to be a broadcast satellite that is re-transmitting Infinity’s signal and being distorted by the shield generators. In order to make contact, you need to disable the shields and get to the satellite before it’s too late and Infinity gets trapped. Joining us on our quest is CruelLEGACEY from CruelLEGACEY Productions. Enjoy!

For Destiny Beta, Go To The Source
David Candland of Bungie reminds all the fans via Twitter that there’s only one place to go if you want to beta test Destiny, and it’s here:
http://www.bungie.net/en-us/View/bungie/userresearch/index
Some unofficial sites have been purporting to offer beta access. I won’t link to them, but Candland says using them will only “end in heartbreak”.

Halo 4 Campaign: Shutdown

Download
After the encounter with the mysterious Librarian AI, Master Chief and Cortana refuse to ignore the bigger picture of the threat Didact poses to the humanity and the galaxy. Disobeying orders and with the help of another ally, Chief and Cortana depart Infinity to be left behind in an attempt to prevent the Didact’s departure from Requiem. This mission contains many hidden meanings and complex ideas, so we pulled in FinalPOSTMORTEM from Forward Unto Dawn for this summary. Enjoy

Halo IRL: Halsey’s Arm
Halo is a fictional universe. However, sometimes we catch sight of things in real life that remind us of our favorite science fiction video game franchise. This particular series, titled Halo in Real Life, showcases those very moments. Enjoy the subtle Halo references sometimes spotted when out and about in the real world, and if you have a picture you’d like to submit for possible future inclusion, send it to bsangel[at]halowaypoint.com!

National Grifball Association’s First Forge Contest

From SquirrelBurrito:The NGA is looking for brand new Grifball courts for the next season of its Grifball league! This contest will focus primarily on aesthetics, as forging a Grifball map doesn’t require much knowledge or utilization of level design theory, though some basic principles will be required to be demonstrated.
We’re looking for new and innovative designs that support a fair game of Grifball. Submissions must be functional (including spawns, flat surfaces, etc.) and look professional. Maps can be forged on any of the Forge locations in Halo 4 (Ravine, Impact, or Erosion). We’ll be looking for creativity, as well as great designs!
Contest Submission Deadline: March 17th, 2013

Piloting Composer’s MAC Cannons
I stumbled across this video this morning… it’s pretty amazing. Nowise10 and a friend show you how to actually get in to (and shoot!) the MAC cannons on Composer. (I don’t think I even NOTICED them when I played – and these guys found a way to SHOOT them.) Awesome.(Louis Wu 16:20:47 UTC)
