I’ve added a gallery of screen captures from Bungie’s GDC 2013 presentation. Whenever possible I’ve left out concept art and other images that have previously been released, focusing on presentation slides and other materials that have not been seen before. Keep in mind that a good deal of what is shown is from various points of Destiny’s development over the past few years and may not represent the final shipping game. Translation: No Tiger Man for you.

Hi
This is my full transcription of ‘To Galaxy’ from Halo 4, for piano.
There’s quite a lot of action in the left hand, so it might be a bit tired afterwards
Enjoy!

Podtacular 357: Post-PAX Update
Download | Shownotes
We wrap up our PAX East 2013 coverage with one last episode to cover this week’s bulletin where the community asks 343i questions about what was revealed at their multiplayer panel. There are many good questions the community asked, but since there were so many, we did not cover them all. On top of that, we get Brent’s view of what he saw come out of the expo and read off a couple of submissions. Enjoy

Forge Hub Featured Halo 4 Custom Map: Endfall

From MickRaider:Endfall is a beautifully forged map that does not sacrifice functionality. Blackout8SIX does an excellent job of creating unique scenery with unconventional object usage. The map has excellent use of color throughout. Along with aesthetics, the map functions well by providing excellent cover and unique lines of sight. The opportunities granted by the jet pack definitely make it the armor ability of choice on the map; however the variety of routes up provide adequate counter attacks.

Podtacular – Halo 4 Campaign, Shutdown

From Dust Storm:After the encounter with the mysterious Librarian AI, Master Chief and Cortana refuse to ignore the bigger picture of the threat Didact poses to the humanity and the galaxy. Disobeying orders and with the help of another ally, Chief and Cortana depart Infinity to be left behind in an attempt to prevent the Didact’s departure from Requiem. This mission contains many hidden meanings and complex ideas, so we pulled in FinalPOSTMORTEM from Forward Unto Dawn for this summary. Enjoy!

Podtacular 356: PAX East 2013 Recap with Grifball Hub
Download
This last weekend was PAX East 2013 and while we already covered the Castle Map Pack with the Ready Up Live crew, we did not talk in depth about the rest of the event or focus heavily on 343i’s panel. With the joining forces of the folks over at Grifball Hub, we bring you our take on the event from Boston. We talk about the Halo 4 Multiplayer panel and the few other things we bothered to go see that wasn’t Halo. Shoutouts to Goosechecka and Kalbelgarian for giving me a place to stay during the event. Halo IRL: Master Chef
Halo is a fictional universe. However, sometimes we catch sight of things in real life that remind us of our favorite science fiction video game franchise. This particular series, titled Halo in Real Life, showcases those very moments. Enjoy the subtle Halo references sometimes spotted when out and about in the real world, and if you have a picture you’d like to submit for possible future inclusion, send it to bsangel[at]halowaypoint.com!

As seen and captured by Eric
