  • Tattoo Tuesday: Halo Sleeve

Some people show their love for Halo by playing the games. Others get a relevant image permanently placed upon their body. Enjoy this particular example of a Halo-related body modification, and if you have a picture you’d like to submit for possible future inclusion, send it to bsangel[at]halowaypoint.com!

  • ODST now a GonD

Back to Halo news: according to Major Nelson, you can now buy Halo 3: ODST (well, the campaign section) on Games On Demand – it went live today! A quick search of XBL Marketplace turns up the price – just $14.99! Grab a copy, and have what might just be the best Halo campaign available at your fingertips.(Louis Wu 17:29:52 UTC)

  • Pathways… again

I posted this on DBO, but it’s big news for ALL Bungie fans, and gamers in general; two big-time fans rebuilt Pathways into Darkness to run on modern Macs, and released the product (with Bungie’s blessing), for free, on the App Store. If you’re too young to have played Pathways when it first came out (in 1993), or you weren’t a Bungie fan until recently, or you simply didn’t have access to a machine that could play this… here’s your chance. Grab a copy, and relive the early days! Major props to Mark Levin and Bruce Morrison, who created this out of their love for the studio and its roots. If you need more info about the game, Hamish Sinclair still maintains pid.bungie.org!(Louis Wu 17:23:40 UTC)

Team Objective has transitioned into a 6 vs. 6 playlist, mainly in part to address the community’s desire for objective game types with larger team sizes and also to accommodate the Castle Maps, which are built for these team sizes. We’ll continue to monitor your feedback regarding Team Objective in the future as we look to optimize the experience it offers by possibly changing the team maps, team sizes and game types that are offered. The playlist features on-disc maps, as well as Crimson and Castle maps, and the Extraction game type.
