From HaloCustoms:
A little while back, we mentioned that we at Halo Customs are aware of your desire to test your skill and face whatever your skilled opponent can throw at you. We spoke of discovering new arenas and that fiery competitive need that drives every player. That is exactly what I’m discussing with you now.
Today, we would like to announce the HaloCustoms 1v1 Unity Tournament. After weeks of planning, we have found what are, in our opinion, the best game type and maps for this event. Our very own Dax, at the helm of his new Youtube channel The Halo Network, has brought in the help of a man known as Doju, the creator of the popular competitive Unity game type. Doju has made a new Unity, designed for 1v1 battles, with which this tournament will be used.
Here’s your chance to test your aim and your instincts, and maybe even win a controller from Gamermodz in the process. Pick your weapon wisely, because that’s all that you’ll have when you enter the arena. You can find out more here, and I wish you all the best of luck!

This cover of Halo is dedicated to the thousands upon thousands of Covenant Grunts that lost their lives at my hands. I suppose I must live with the guilt…

Halo is a fictional universe. However, sometimes we catch sight of things in real life that remind us of our favorite science fiction video game franchise. This particular series, titled Halo in Real Life, showcases those very moments. Enjoy the subtle Halo references sometimes spotted when out and about in the real world, and if you have a picture you’d like to submit for possible future inclusion, send it to bsangel[at]halowaypoint.com!

This is a pretty awesome cover of “To Galaxy”. It was overall flawless and filled with passion. Watch out for a cool “waterfall” around 1:15, and stay for the end as there’s a Halo 3 reference (always gives me chills).

From AgentPaperCraft:
Hello, Waypoint goers! With the addition of community-made content into Matchmaking, custom maps and game types have become an integral part of Halo’s Multiplayer. Forgers and game type creators often work hours, days and even months on their content before it’s considered for Matchmaking, and it’s usually the lack of having a ready player-base to test their maps that it takes so long. So I offer an option to our Forgers, a place to bring your maps and game types to have them tested and reviewed by a group of the top Forgers around. You’ll receive top-notch forging tips and tricks to wow your players, improve map spawn and flow, provide a better map experience and get your name out there. You’ll also get to work directly with the Community Cartographers, a select group of community Forge enthusiasts who work with 343 Industries in the search of top-quality content for Matchmaking consideration. Every Wednesday night at 6PM ET, get an invite by sending “AgentPaperCraft” a message over Xbox LIVE, or leave a comment in the Test Night Thread.
Hope to see you there!

This video is very much inspired by one of the first machinimas I ever made. Last time, I had a camcorder, Halo 2 and a middle school sense of humor. This time, almost six years later, I had an HD capture card, Halo 4 and a middle school sense of humor.
Enjoy!
Some people show their love for Halo by playing the games. Others get a relevant image permanently placed upon their body. Enjoy this particular example of a Halo-related body modification, and if you have a picture you’d like to submit for possible future inclusion, send it to bsangel[at]halowaypoint.com!

From studlypotato:
I’d like to submit my Halo-inspired tat for possible inclusion. Halo has inspired me to become a developer. Since the first Halo, that’s what I’ve wanted to do and that is what I’m going to school for. This tattoo is kind of like my talisman, or motivation to keep following my dream.
From Gugga Leunnam:
This is my Halo/Pacific Rom fan trailer mashup. Enjoy!
From Postmortem:
This round, artists were asked to depict the Forerunner Capital, a structure that has so far only been described in Halo: Cryptum. These submissions show how amazingly one simple design can inspire similar ideas in different people, without sacrificing the possibility for unique and creative designs.
Beerbuca submitted a great render of the installation where order and chaos combine to create a truly fascinating amalgamation of shapes.

davidfuchs sketched a great perspective piece, showing the possibility for amazing new Forerunner horizons.

And Archilen submitted a great pencil and paper illustration, including a really cool Forerunner ship.

Be sure to check out the Round 13 archives!
