BeyondEnt’s Halo4GC Recap
Snipetality and Beyond Entertainment have put together their own recap of the Halo 4 Global Championship Finals – it’s 15 minutes long (so it falls somewhere between Waypoint’s short text recap and the full 2-hour stream), and it’s really nicely cut. Check it out! Thanks, CyReN. (Louis Wu 20:39:14 UTC)

Halo: Songs of Adventure
Geek and Sundry posted a new ‘Songs of Adventure’ vlog… this one focused on Halo’s theme. Folks should make sure that Marty doesn’t see this… he doesn’t need the ego inflation. (It’s an interesting watch, though – go see.) Thanks, robofin117. (Louis Wu 20:26:06 UTC)

Fails and PIGs
Last Friday’s AchievementHunter vids went live, as expected, and Nikko B201 posted the links on our forum, as expected. You can watch Fails of the Weak 154 on AH.com or YouTube… and you can watch Halo HORSE 142 (which is abbreviated since it was recorded just before Jack left for PAX) on the same sites (AH.com | YT). Enjoy!(Louis Wu 20:20:40 UTC)

Halo for Xbox One gets a little more info (maybe)
For a short time last week, the Microsoft Store listing for the next full Halo title had an interesting new section called ‘Take a Closer Look’ – it had a short description of the next game’s plot. The listing has been removed… but plenty of sites managed to grab the content first. (Revenant1988 found it at Computer and Video Games, for example.) It’s pretty general, and could easily be interpreted as boilerplate… but who knows?(Louis Wu 20:14:45 UTC)

Now THAT’S a dangerous combo.
So yesterday I cleared out our mail backlog – today I get to clear out the forum backlog. These posts go back as far as August 30, so if you’ve already found this content on your own, good on ya. First up: some of the artwork created for a videogame art show called ‘PRESS START…To Continue’ looks… really familiar! Love the juxtaposition with Earthworm Jim. Thanks, mc_leprechaun. (An older picture he found surfaced last year… but I couldn’t find a reference.)(Louis Wu 20:03:31 UTC)

Halo 4 Global Championship – Watch it again
The Halo Global Championship came to a head this past Sunday, with the finals being shown live at Benaroya Hall, at PAX, and streamed on Twitch.tv. It was an amazing two hours – the gameplay was fantastic, Malukah’s rendition of Frozen Sleep gave me chills, Sarah Fletcher’s Atonement was beautiful… and the final match was unbelievable. If you missed the show, it’s now available in its entirety on Halo Waypoint. (If that’s too much, they also have a recap that will give you the highlights.) I was there, I was on the edge of my seat, I encourage anyone who didn’t see it to watch.(Louis Wu 23:33:03 UTC)

It is! No, it isn’t! Yes, it is!
So when Halo for Xbox One was announced at E3 this year, Microsoft was quick to clarify that this was not Halo 5 – it was Halo for Xbox One. Unfortunately, Axis Animation, the group that made the trailer, didn’t get the memo – a couple of days ago, they posted a copy of the trailer on their Facebook page that actually had a ‘Halo Five’ logo at the end of it. The original Vimeo video has been made private, but if you read the Facebook comments, you’ll find a link to an Italian gaming site with a copy. Sometimes you have to just shake your head… thanks to Overdoziz at NeoGAF for the heads-up. (Louis Wu 23:21:34 UTC)

Play Halo, Watch Football
VentureBeat has an interesting Halo-related tidbit in an article about football on the Xbox One – the rep played a multiplayer match of Halo 4 while his Fantasy Reel football stats showed (and updated in real time) on the edge of the screen. Fantastic news for multitaskers! Thanks, Josué Schneegans.(Louis Wu 23:09:56 UTC)
