Paper’s Test Night: 9.21.13
From AgentPaperCraft:
Hello Waypoint goers, every Saturday at 6PM ET I hold a weekly test night lobby for players to get top-notch feedback from some of the best forgers out there for your maps and custom game types. We aim to make you a better forger by offering advice on flow, weapon placement and overall design of your maps, teaching you the ins and outs of custom multiplayer map design. Join us this week as we test Ricochet maps for the upcoming contest. This is the perfect opportunity to perfect your map before officially submitting it to the Community Cartographers and Certain Affinity. For more information and to sign up, stop by our thread!
We’re happy to announce that the Test Night will be supporting ForgeHub as well, offering open arms to their community and site. Be sure to swing by ForgeHub and check out the fresh new site smell and new map database tool, with searching and tagging features that make finding and posting maps that much easier. We will have several of the staff stopping by the lobby to introduce themselves and explain the ForgeHub story. In the meantime, forge smart and have fun. We’ll see you there.

Podtacular 390: Pax Prime 2013
Download
Three weeks have passed since the start of the Pax Prime 2013 weekend hanging out with the Ready Up Live crew. Our weekend started with our flight Wednesday morning out to Seattle, packing a Tahoe full of people and luggage, and running out to our first dinner destination, Wingdom. From there, the weekend unfolded with pre-Pax parties, sight-seeing excursions, the Halo 4 Global Championship, the show floor, panels and post-Pax goodbyes. We also had the pleasure of meeting up with GrifballHub, HaloGAF, Beyond Entertainment and our favorite Halo Waypoint staffers. Joining us on the podcast to help recount the tales of old are Minolta1034, Mcky 126, Rebel Rouser, Drax122, Start a R1OT and Nak3d Eli. Enjoy

Looking back over the past week
Last night, the latest Halo Bulletin was posted – it reminds people about the Halo 4 Ricochet Forge Contest, gives you details about the changes to Halo 4 Matchmaking that will go live this coming week, and presents a Halo 4 Global Championship Competitor Roundtable, discussing the competition itself and reminiscing about the high points of the event at PAX. Finally, there are some really amazing Energy Sword-based screenshots. As usual, if you’d rather put your eyeballs/browser on a lighter version, we have one in our Halo Bulletin Archive.(Louis Wu 21:54:46 UTC)

Lights make everything better
JoshuaKane visited DragonCon this year, fully kitted out as a Spartan with a really cool energy sword (created by our old friend Sean Bradley, no less) – you can read about it at Adafruit, or watch a short video of the sword, in all its colorful glory. (It looks like Revenant1988 found this, too – and kicked off a thread on our forum, which drew in Joshua himself! Go talk to him about this gorgeous piece of work.(Louis Wu 21:23:05 UTC)
