HaloGAF Customs
davidfuchs put together a montage from a recent HaloGAF Customs Night (with a few HBO regulars making an appearance) – it’s two and a half minutes of fun. It makes me want to start playing customs right now! Go watch.(Louis Wu 19:47:50 UTC)

Beast – A Halo 4 Montage
From FBW – The Return of FBWalshyFTW:
I found the gameplay in this one to be INCREDIBLY entertaining. Two Killionaires AND a Killpoc? Really guy? There were other beast clips in here, but those three really stood out to me. Great gameplay Derek. On the other side of the rainbow, Rob and Derek create a majestic, yet energetic Halo 4 montage, which are hard to come by these days. Enjoy!

Guilt O’ Lantern Contest – Results
Congratulations to our three winners in this year’s Guilt O’ Lantern contest – Matt Stefely, Keith Muelas, and Corey Prescott got the most votes, and so are taking home the prizes! (Turnout was a bit lower than last year – only 554 people voted. Maybe we can bump that up again next year!) Go check out the full results for yourself.(Louis Wu 19:46:03 UTC)

Podtacular 399: All the Teams
Download | Shownotes
This week’s Halo Bulletin has more War Games related information than you can fit into your Christmas stocking. I say that as Christmas inventory is already filling up in stores before Thanksgiving… These are strange times my friends, and even stranger (in my personal opinion) is the results of the Ricochet Forge contest, no offense to the winners of course. Multi-team has dropped in the rotational playlist for the next two weeks until Dominion takes the spotlight with another community voted Dominion gametype. The Xbox platform Halo: Spartan Assault achievements were also announced this week with some Co-op and Xbox One exclusive achievements. Enjoy

GDC Vault Frees Up Bungie Design Talks
The 2010 Game Developer Conference contained a talk by Jaime Griesemer in which he described why the time between shots for the Halo 3 sniper rifle was increased from 0.5 to 0.7 seconds – and right after the event, Bungie released his slides in their Publications archive. (Unfortunately, that archive seems to be offline at this point; we’ve put up a local copy of the file, but we can’t reproduce the entire archive.) The wonderful thing is, Gamasutra has made the video of that talk free – go watch it! (They’ve also posted a followup, presented at GDC 2011, called ‘Design in Detail: Tuning the Muzzle Velocity of the Plasma Rifle Bolt on Legendary Difficulty Across the Halo Franchise’ – watch both!) Update: I completely forgot about the halo.bungie.net subdomain; kornman00 reminded me, and clarified that the Publications archive IS, in fact, still online at B.net. Yay!(Louis Wu 20:44:09 UTC)

Buy a Master Chief Sculpt for Christmas
Jason Evans has been casting sculpts of Master Chief for a few years now – I bought a couple from his 2011 series. This summer, he posted pics of a Halo 4 version – and he’s back, with a Facebook page that you can use to buy a new version that will be shipping in time for Christmas. It’s available in cold-cast nickel, cold-cast bronze, or white epoxy – you choose! Pretty awesome. (I still plan to give away at least one of the older ones.)(Louis Wu 20:18:30 UTC)

Halo Escalation Details: Eps 2-3
mikimarquez returns with more info about Halo: Escalation, the Dark Horse comic series about the ongoing adventures of the UNSC Infinity. Episode 2 (search the page for ‘escalation’) is due out on January 8, while Episode 3 (again, search) is coming February 5. Cover art for Ep 2 and Ep 3 are both pretty impressive (unless you’re tired of Sarah Palmer…).(Louis Wu 20:14:29 UTC)
