Speedy Halo – Coming Soon
General Vagueness let us know that Halo will be represented in the Summer Games Done Quick event – on June 26, Goatrope will be speedrunning through the original campaign to earn money for charity. The time allotted is just over two hours – let’s see how much he can cut off that (and how much he can raise for Doctors Without Borders)! (Louis Wu 16:27:41 UTC)

Halo 4 Matchmaking Update: King of the Hill
Every two weeks we update Halo 4 Matchmaking with exciting new game types, playlist changes and more. You can see what we have planned in the months ahead by visiting the Matchmaking Playlist Calendar, but below you can get details on what’s now available in today’s Halo 4 Matchmaking Update.
King of the Hill
King of the Hill is back, and we’re adding some new game types! The first of these is Mosh Pit. A game type that will be familiar to Halo 3 players, Mosh Pit uses one central Hill that doesn’t move, and provides players in the Hill with increased shields. There is only one rule: if you’re killed, just head back to the Hill and jump right in.
Additionally, we’ll be adding Stealth King to the playlist. The game type is quite different from traditional King of the Hill – each player is equipped with a Sniper Rifle, Plasma Grenades, and the Thruster Pack. Oh, and all players in the Hill have Active Camouflage. If it sounds crazy, it absolutely is, and we hope you enjoy this new fun game type during King of the Hill’s reign as our featured playlist.
We’ve also added several new game types to other playlists – included in this list is the following:
- Added Oddball to Team Doubles
- Added Neutral Flag to Team Doubles
- Added Neutral Flag to Team Heavies

Mis-Drop
thebruce0 pointed out a sci-fi short called ‘Mis-Drop‘ – as a 13 minute film, it’s a fun watch, but its ODST-like vibes make it even more relevant to this community. Go watch!(Louis Wu 20:39:25 UTC)

Podtacular 424: Halo 5 Discussions: Forge
Welcome to one of many shows dedicated to discussions around Halo 5. The Halo community is expecting much from 343 Industries for their next Halo installment and we’re here to talk today about Forge. Whether you realize it or not, Forge is responsible for a lot, if not all, of the communities that rely heavily on the game’s longevity. Even Halo matchmaking as we know it has relied heavily on Forge since Halo 3. After catching up with the latest Halo news and this week’s Halo Bulletin, we dive head on into the Halo 5 Forge Wish List pulled together by Pete the Duck. While it does not have everyone’s opinion in it, the list is quite comprehensive and is broken down into categories of changes and additions people would like to see that contributed to the list. To help us discuss the wish list and the future or Forge, we are honored to have Pete the Duck, Receptor 17 and Community Cartographer Psycho Duck.
