Qbakies let us know yesterday about his gaming blog, Almighty Q(uandaries)… and today, he’s updated it again with a new entry that looks at Halo, and Bungie’s realization of online socialization that we know as MatchMaking, as family-builders – not the family you were born into, but the people you choose to surround yourself with. (Wow, was that all one sentence?) Great read, and a wonderful way to express some of the happiness I, myself, find online when playing Halo 2. Go read it.

IGN continues to post new information about Dead or Alive 4… and there continues to be new info about the Halo tie-in. Interesting; 3of9, over at Subnova.com, noticed an interview with Peter Jackson at Dark Horizons; it’s mostly about King Kong, but it has some fun quotes pertaining to Jackson’s upcoming work on the Halo movie. Wow. GamesRadar has one of the more bizarre ‘news’ articles I’ve seen in a while; they’re suggesting that Halo 3 (a title that hasn’t even been announced yet) might come on 4 double-layer DVDs. Where does this come from? Well, apparently someone is claiming that “one particular ‘highly anticipated’ Xbox 360 title is currently taking up four 9GB DVDs”… and, in GameRadar’s words, “nothing is more anticipated than the next Halo.” (Who is this someone? Heh. Your guess is as good as mine.) Wow… what a stretch. Thanks to Cybrfrk and ZiplocBodybag for pointing this silliness out.

A new blog has popped up to keep tabs on developments about the Halo movie – there’s nothing there yet that hasn’t been posted elsewhere (like here, for example), but it’s nice to have a central repository. Thanks, Paul Hayes.

Narcogen continues his look at the Halo script that’s been floating around the net, specifically focusing on the MC-Cortana interaction. Interesting writeup. (No horrible spoilers, if you’re trying to keep yourself pure.)

We got word that DropShock has released Episode 7 – 360 shortages, strats, a new website, and a declaration of war. (I’d tell you more, but I can’t seem to actually download the episode… it’s been hung on ‘Starting’ for the last many minutes.) Go see if you can get your own copy!
