Old, new, and Halo 2
The details continue to pour out about the Master Chief collection – as I said to a number of 343 employees yesterday, it looks like I’ll be buying an Xbox One sooner than I expected. If you’re excited about the details, jump into the conversations on our forum – lots of the little tidbits have been collected by various forumgoers. Some great stuff from the horse’s mouth, though, can be found in this IGN Interview with Frank O’Connor and Dan Ayoub (thanks, Kal). Go watch!(Louis Wu 17:00:57 UTC)

New Beginnings
A good mix of both gameplay and some additional story in Bungie’s “New Beginnings” trailer for E3 2014.
Also the first time I think I’ve seen it explicitly stated (by Peter Dinklage’s voiceover here) what I’ve suspected for awhile here– that the Traveler was the cause of both humanity’s lost golden age and its downfall, and the enemies we face are the enemies of the Traveler, not necessarily the enemies of humanity.
Still, that might not ever become relevant, but it is something I’ve been thinking about for awhile.

The Halo Bulletin: 6.4.14

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been talking about E3. You’re excited, we’re excited, and we can finally say that E3 2014 is less than five days away. Some members of the team are already in Los Angeles, and the majority will be flying down over the next two days to prepare for the Xbox Media Briefing on Monday morning. We know you’re hyped about next week, so in this week’s Bulletin, we’ll be breaking down everything you need to know, and where you need to be next week. Let’s get into it!
Halo @ E3 2014

We’ll be tweeting live from E3 2014 all next week, with behind the scenes pictures, videos, and more.
