An Apology
There has been lots of Halo news this week – but our active staff is finding it difficult to actually… well, update. (There is activity on our Twitter account, since it’s easier to update that from the show floor, but the front page is being sadly neglected, and for that, I’m sorry.) Here’s a promise that we’ll get ourselves up to date in the next few days, and we should have some interesting information to share about the Master Chief Collection… but today is another quiet day. Enjoy the weather!(Louis Wu 15:29:55 UTC)

Reflections
E3 has thrown a wrench in our posting schedule, but Red vs Blue Season 12 Episode 6 went live on Monday – this one is mostly about backstory. Watch it for some history of Felix, along with some illumination of Grif’s problems. Great stuff!(Louis Wu 15:29:37 UTC)

Jason Jones Talks Destiny
Jason Jones tells you everything you need to know about Destiny (almost) while also showing off a few new character designs, environments, enemies, and map locations. There’s a shot of a Venus map, and a location in the overview map called “the reef” which I’m guessing is the asteroid belt.

Podtacular 427: The Master Chief Collection

The long awaited, rumored Master Chief Collection was announced at this year’s Microsoft Press Briefing at E3 and Halo fans couldn’t be more excited. Scheduled for a November release the year, the collection features every Halo game featuring Master Chief including a re-mastered Halo 2 Experience under Halo 2 Anniversary. In addition to all four games, the collection includes a copy of Halo: Nightfall, the digital feature being directed and produced by Ridley Scott and access to the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta. The reaction from the entire Halo community thus far has been outstanding and 343 is happy to finally share this experience with us. To discuss what we know about the collection and our experience at the Xbox Press Briefing, Nak3d Eli and H2O Shoagie make a guest appearance for a truly momentous occasion.

E3 2014 Destiny Trailer “New Beginnings”
Bungie put out a new Destiny trailer for E3 2014 that lays out the game’s premise in a pretty straightforward way and also shows off a bit of gameplay.
UPDATE: The audio in this version is messed up. A replacement is uploading, and when it’s done, I’ll replace the embedded version here with the new one.
UPDATE 2: This version should have the fixed commentary audio.

Old, new, and Halo 2
The details continue to pour out about the Master Chief collection – as I said to a number of 343 employees yesterday, it looks like I’ll be buying an Xbox One sooner than I expected. If you’re excited about the details, jump into the conversations on our forum – lots of the little tidbits have been collected by various forumgoers. Some great stuff from the horse’s mouth, though, can be found in this IGN Interview with Frank O’Connor and Dan Ayoub (thanks, Kal). Go watch!(Louis Wu 17:00:57 UTC)
