SC Ascent – Augmented
On Friday, Rockslider stopped in with a new vid – it shows you how to increase the number of enemies you face on the way up at the main facility on Silent Cartographers, in order to add spice to the fight. We didn’t get a chance to post this yesterday (and nearly missed today, as well!) – but you should go watch it, because it has some awesome needler action.(Louis Wu 23:51:53 UTC)

Podtacular 430: Locke and Load
During the Xbox Media Briefing at E3, we got a glimpse into the future of Halo and Master Chief’s story with the introduction of Agent Locke, the mysterious ONI Spartan revealed during the Halo 5: Guardians announcement. Many questions have arisen as to his role among the new Master Chief journey we will dive into, and we’re here to discuss what the future holds. The Arbiter’s dialogue during the teaser also brings some questions to bear along with the loose ends left open by Halo 4 and other pieces of the Halo universe. Joining us on this journey this week is Greenskull and Nak3d Eli, both of whom were at E3 as well.

Halo: Broken Circle
Waypoint announced that a new Halo novel from author John Shirley will release on November 4th. The title of the book is Halo: Broken Circle and it will explore the beginnings of the relationship between The Elites and the Prophets. It seems like this will lead nicely into Halo 2 Anniversary. Thanks, Kzy1m3. (mastrbiggy 21:57:39 UTC)

Scarab Assault
Gamecheat sent word of his latest Halo video – this video shows off a modded gametype for Halo 3 called Scarab Assault on Sandtrap. Gamecheat managed to implement player controlled Scarabs that act similar to the Elephant and the results are nothing short of amazing. Stuff like this is so cool!(mastrbiggy 21:51:31 UTC)

The Halo Bulletin: 6.19.14
It’s 5:35 a.m. on Monday, June 9, and once again, instead of hitting the snooze button and/or throwing my phone out of my hotel room window, I jump out of bed after hearing my alarm because today just happens to be another exciting day, and one worthy of an early-morning wake up call. Back home, our community, web, and services teams (to name just a few) are hard at work preparing for the announcements that will soon be made at E3. In downtown Los Angeles, I meet up with the away team in an already buzzing hotel lobby. We’ve been in dress rehearsals since Friday, and this morning we will be on a stage for all the world to see. We cram into a car, and we’re off.
We are on the way. Frankie is not in the trunk. That is not his knee sticking up.

The Great Smoky Mountain LANboree – Halo Gameplay
Back in April, a bunch of bungie.org regulars got together in the backwoods of Tennessee to play some Halo, eat some ribs, and smell up a large cabin. By all accounts, it was a success. Today, padraig08 stopped by with a YouTube playlist containing 37 videos (7 hours) of Halo gameplay recorded during that weekend. Go watch some.(Louis Wu 23:11:52 UTC)
