Fails of the Weak 198
The current episode of Fails of the Weak was recorded, super-fast, at RTX this week – the time pressure actually kept the commentary focused on the clips! Some pretty interesting AI action in this one. Watch it on AH.com or YouTube – thanks, Nikko B201. (Louis Wu 22:54:25 UTC)

The Scale Keeps Changing
Stephen Loftus has upgraded his Halo Scale Comparison yet again – this time, there are two new pages added in the front, showing off the scale of the Forerunner shield world described in ‘Ghost of Onyx’, and the more familiar Sun in our own solar system. (He’s also corrected a couple of small errors, but most of you will have serious trouble finding them.) Check ’em out! (Louis Wu 17:57:47 UTC)

If you’ll be joining us, we’ll see you in just a few days. If you’re actively participating from home, be sure so keep an eye on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Waypoint to keep up with everything going on each day! The first place you’ll have a chance to see Halo: The Master Chief Collection is within the walls of our behind-closed-doors demo on the show floor. You can be some of the first people to see how we’re bringing the story of Master Chief to you in one unified experience, as well as get an exclusive demonstration of the Halo 2: Anniversary Campaign. We’re excited to see what you think! In addition, those that make the journey to see the The Master Chief Collection in-person will get an exclusive gift!
Classic Halo Play-a-Pro
How have your truly classic Halo: CE and Halo 2 skills held up over these past 10 years? Want to find out? We’ve packed some old school TVs, original Xboxes, controllers, and GH057ayame and Neighbor into the back of a big truck, and we’re sending everything down to RTX. Everyone who steps up to the challenge against our pros will get a free Halo Micro Action Figure blind pack from Mega Bloks!

Spreading their Wings
VG24/7 has an opinion piece, written by a longtime Sony gamer, discussing what Halo 5 might bring to the table for people who haven’t been big Halo fans in the past. It’s a pretty interesting read!(Louis Wu 19:57:44 UTC)
-
Is another Halo title in the offing?
Grizzlei pointed out a pair of articles (VideoGamer.com and Yahoo) that look at a Microsoft job listing (already filled at this point), and speculate about what it means for the Halo franchise. Go read, and then toss in your own two cents!(Louis Wu 19:55:13 UTC)

Nightfall Wraps Up Shooting in Iceland
SegmentNext noticed an article on an Icelandic site that mentions that filming has completed on Halo: Nightfall, the digital series to launch with the Master Chief Collection. The Google translation of the original Icelandic is lacking, a bit… but with a little effort, you can get the gist of the quotes from Kiki Wolfkill (who is renamed “Kiki Kill Wolf” by the translator) – Iceland is beautiful, it’s worked its way into the personality of the film, and even non-Halo fans will enjoy the final product. There will be more info revealed about Nightfall this month at San Diego ComicCon.(Louis Wu 15:26:56 UTC)
