The best looking actress from The Golden Girls.
Midnight In Iraq, a weblog written by a Halo diehard currently serving in Iraq, has a great piece on a Halo tournament at Camp Fallujah, in Iraq. (Midnight won.) Fun read. Thanks, THX Slayer.(Louis Wu 23:31:18 UTC)

Klein Oak HS plays Halo (music)
megadude139 found another video of a high school group playing Halo music – this was Klein Oak High School, in Spring, Texas, with the orchestra ensemble playing Halo and Halo music for a variety show in 2005. Pretty nice work! (YouTube, the vid itself is about 13 mb.)(Louis Wu 15:41:19 UTC)

Recreating the LAN Party Online
We have yet another Game Developers Conference talk for you today – this time, it’s Chris Butcher and Bart House, in 2005, talking about ‘recreating the LAN party Online‘. But is it space-capable?
Bry posted a number of images to our forum – a nicely customized X-Plane jet. Can you just see Frankie in the doorway of that thing?(Louis Wu 11:37:31 UTC)

Pinkuh’s on a roll.
Never say Pinkuh doesn’t respond to her fans. Her last image, showing the Master Chief without a helmet, spawned a surprisingly long forum thread, many people loving her interpretation, but others feeling that the Chief should never look this happy. (What a depressing view!) For the latter crowd, Pinkuh sketched a revised Chief – this guy is DEFINITELY not happy. If you find that to be a downer, though, swing by THIS forum post – and turn that frown upside down! Both images have been added to her gallery here (revised chief | disco halo).(Louis Wu 11:31:30 UTC)

More Hide and Seek
The Se7enth Prophet decided to copy c0ld vengeance and create a series of Hide and Seek pics – these are on Outskirts, as well (because his disk is scratched) and the pics are photographed off the screen (which makes them a little hard to interpret) – but as of now, they’re not all solved, so go look! KP was first – but he cheated.(Louis Wu 00:05:53 UTC)

A flatulent wasp relaxing in a rusty tin can
Frankie’s in an up phase, I guess – tonight’s Weekly Update takes potshots at Marty (what else is new?), discusses Comic-Con, coming up next week, looks back at FPS’s in history, and provides a Mister Chief I never really needed to see. You can read it on Bungie.net, or you can read it in our Weekly Update Archive.A flatulent wasp relaxing in a rusty tin can
