Catch MLG on USA Network this weekend!
Just in case you haven’t been paying attention (or maybe forgot about it) USA Network will be running a seven-part TV series on Major League Gaming and it’s national competitions.
The series chronicles the challenges, drama and excitement of young professionals competing in MLG’s seven-city professional video game circuit. The Boost Mobile Major League Gaming Pro Circuit will take viewers into the lives of the players with a behind-the-scenes look into their homes, schools, work and social lives.
The series kicks off this Saturday, November 11, and will run all the way through December 23. Be sure to check it out and catch all the action, and maybe pick up some techniques from the pros!

Luke Smith has updated 1up.com with an in-depth analysis of the three Halo 3 multiplayer maps that the press was shown last month. He details their experiences on Snowbound, High Ground and Valhalla. The words “Joe Tung” and “whore” play a large role.

Another 72 dialogue snippets have been added to the Dialogue Databank, courtesy of Hellhawk (they’ve been queued up for MONTHS, I’m sorry it’s taken so long); there are still almost 100 snippets total waiting in the queue, but there’s light at the end of the tunnel! Took me long enough, but I finally cleared out the long-suffering batch of entries, sorry to all that were patiently waiting for their work to appear. Some folks are still not quite getting the point of the Cynic’s DB, I urge you to reread the main page before you submit your entry. More Midi Halo Stuff
Davis ‘BlueDingo5’ Beutler sent along three new Midi pieces – the full Halo 3 music, the full Halo Wars theme, and Pursuit of Truth (full, with chords). The archive is a tiny 7K, zipped. He figured out the notes with his keyboard, recorded them, then USB’d them to a freeware midi program for saving. There might be a couple of small mistakes, but mostly he wanted to say thanks to Marty O’Donnell for the initial work. Check these out!(Louis Wu 13:44:55 UTC)

Two slightly different montages from Halo3Forum this morning, thanks to Z. First up is Reid18’s Nubtage, which shows what happens when someone really good goes into Team Training – the Killimanjaros come fast and furious – it’s 133 mb, in WMP9 format. The other one is Yasha’s ‘Almost a Montage‘ – it’s clips of what MIGHT have been really cool montage pieces, if the snipe had worked, or if the grenade had stuck.
