Another company’s getting into the Halo merchandising game – by August 15, you should be able to buy Halo 3-branded leather items made by Enmon Accessories – ranging from a $10 belt to a $300 set of luggage. Hmm…(Louis Wu 13:41:35 UTC)

  • H2V – on (some) shelves now

rapture was able to get his hands on Halo 2 Vista last night – it was sitting on a shelf in his local Circuit City. Check it out. (He was also kind enough to send along a copy of the Halo 2 Vista manual – sometimes these are hard to find down the road, when you just need to know that one little thing. You can download it here (20.3 mb).)(Louis Wu 13:38:47 UTC)

  • Of Leaks, and Such

The last few days have seen many, many reports around the net of information gleaned from the source files of the Halo 3 Beta; for the most part, we’ve stayed away from this information. If you want it – it’s certainly out there. We’re just not going to help you find it. I ran across this blog entry from Nick, at HaloDev, today – it does a pretty good job of explaining why. (I think I’d probably have taken a tone that was slightly less authoritarian – but remember that Nick comes from the community he’s writing about, and he’s pretty disappointed with their lack of self-control. The arguments laid down are quite solid.)(Louis Wu 22:17:14 UTC)

  • Unforgotten – performed live

WhiteRaven performed the piano solo from Unforgotten, off the Halo 2 Original Soundtrack Volume Two, for a school induction ceremony a couple of weeks ago – he did a fantastic job, and today, he’s reposted the audio and a video. (Transcription is his own – midi coming soon.) Go listen!(Louis Wu 22:03:56 UTC)

  • Oh So Betaful

trigger119 pointed out a new movie he’s hosting at GamingTV.org – it was created by ClearviewPro, and follows the pattern of Jamie98s’ ‘Oh So Beautiful’ series… except with the Halo 3 Beta. That is – he’s collected a bunch of footage of cool tidbits you can find around the new maps – pretty scenery, really detailed props – and set it to a Jack Johnson song. pretty nice! (Maybe the next one will lose the zoom bar on the left…) Go grab it in WMP9 or QuickTime formats.(Louis Wu 21:43:25 UTC)
