H2A Cutscenes… In-Engine (sort of)
Intriguing. We know that Halo 2 Anniversary was released with Blur-created CGI cutscenes… but apparently the original (in-engine style) scenes were being worked on at some point… and some NeoGAFfers found a way to see them. We’re back after the holidays and we are feet first into the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer beta. At this point, we’ve been playing through Week two and three is coming very shortly. As most of our normal antics go, the whole staff is on to kick off the new year of exciting opportunities and challenges we look to face head on and we hope you all will be there along the way. We talk about our current experiences with the beta and catch up on our long abandoned mailbag for some lost gems finally making daylight. Halo 2 Anniversary Terminals – now in the Cutscene Library
The Halo Cutscene Library has grown again today – we’re making the Halo 2 Anniversary Terminals available for viewing and downloading. Once again, they’re available in 1080p, 720p, and 360p, but audio is stereo-only (this is because they were recorded from the Halo Channel, on the Xbox One, and that channel doesn’t broadcast in 5.1 sound). The Master Chief Collection joins the Cutscene Library
Cody Miller jumped on the heavy-duty job of filming the cutscenes/terminals from The Master Chief Collection pretty early on… but life’s been so busy here that we’re JUST NOW beginning to get some of that content out there. First up – the CGI cutscenes Blur created for Halo 2 Anniversary. These are pretty amazing, and we’re making them available in 360p, 720p, and 1080p, with full surround sound. Coop Halo 2 Speedrun for AGDQ
Awesome Games Done Quick is in the middle of their winter fundraiser – money goes towards the Prevent Cancer Foundation, and you get to watch lots of cool speedrunning.
