HAFT, Explained
For folks who read Elnea’s Halo Action Figure Theater, but might be a little confused about the plot (because, you know, her mind is a little warped)… she’s put together an ‘Extras’ page which contains plot synopses for both series, as well as character bios. I’m STILL confused, but now it’s more about how she manages to find the time for all this stuff…(Louis Wu 10:49:59 UTC)

Video Walkthrough of Construct (unauthorized)
Hmm… this is the sort of thing I’m not sure if I should be mentioning. Someone has created a reasonably high-quality film of a walkthrough, in Forge, of the multiplayer level Bungie announced yesterday, Construct. There are no spoilers in the film – it’s just a guy running around the map, no voiceover at all – and it shows off the gorgeous graphics of the level to nice effect… but it IS content that hasn’t been released by Bungie yet (though they HAVE announced it, and released screenshots). It’s up to you whether you visit or not; it’s a really pretty level, but you’ll get to run around it all by yourself in just 4 days. If you want to see it now, visit GameTrailers. I found this at Planet Halo.(Louis Wu 10:43:23 UTC)

Leading Players to a Goal
nash–housewares noticed an interview with Mike Zak, Halo 3’s environment art lead, over at Digital Journal. It’s a great look at the process of map development, with some cool tidbits about other things (skulls, for example) tossed in. No spoilers. (Louis Wu 10:26:45 UTC)

Custom Spartan on eBay
Joerhyno wrote with some news about an auction a friend has set up. It’s a custom figure – he started with a mini figure that was enlarged with Hydrospan, then cast in resin and cut up to fit on a Microman body, and painted. A lot of work! Current bid is $50, with a week to go. (Joe also pointed out this thread on the Spawn forum – some great pics, including two from him, using Joyride figures, down near the bottom. Fun with action figures!(Louis Wu 10:19:48 UTC)

Achingly Familiar
We got word from Haloplayer that Lost Cause Episode 15 is now online (in a bunch of downloadable and streaming flavors) at Injured Knee Productions – and this is probably the last Halo 2 episode they’ll make. It’s called ‘Achingly Familiar’, and the Elites have finally found our squad. Uh oh… (Louis Wu 09:57:49 UTC)

Advanced Forge Editing
—
by
Part Three of Ferrex‘s trilogy on Forge is up at Bungie.net: Advanced Forge Editing. It covers how to edit objects in ways specific to creating certain goal-oriented gametypes, instead of just piles of fusion cores.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
What this article does talk about a lot is spawning: spawn points and spawn zones. If you’ve always been interested in how Halo chooses to spawn you where it does, this article is a treasure trove.

That note about “significant changes to the Banshee” around the time of the public beta sure is interesting…

Halo 3 Opening Cinematic
—
by
This looks like a legitimate, if somewhat low quality, recording of Halo 3’s opening cinematic, explaining the Chief’s arrival on Earth. It also appears to confirm the contents of the game story summary posted elsewhere on the Internet.
Again– if you don’t want to be spoiled, don’t view!

What’s Coming to Bungie.net
DHalo points out a post on NeoGAF’s forum from Luke Smith, in which he outlines all the new Halo 3 content coming to Bungie.net in the next few days. (The link brings you to the single post; you will see nothing but Luke’s note if you follow it, there are no chances for spoilers unless you explore the site outside that post.)(Louis Wu 21:20:47 UTC)

Wanna go to the London Gala?
MffnMn finds himself with a ticket to the London Launch Party – but cannot go. There were apparently 150 pairs of tickets given away – this is a full pair. (It says “non-transferable”, but he hasn’t sent his name in yet, so it shouldn’t be a problem.) If you’re interested, adn you’re over 18 and in the London area, shoot him an email – he’ll pick one at random and give the pair away in the next 24 hours. What a guy!(Louis Wu 20:58:06 UTC)
