Halo Humpday – a solid Bungie win, for a change
Last night was also the night that this week’s Halo Humpday Challenge got posted (thanks again, LackOfKnowledge) – the EA Tiburon team met, and were demolished on the field of battle by, the Bungie crew. Harshness! I think the page’s thumbnail says it best…(Louis Wu 12:53:17 UTC)

Storytime ROCKS.
Bungie has posted their newest podcast – the first hour is Dave Dunn telling stories of the old days at Bungie Studios, and the last 20 minutes has Paul Bertone talking football and ripping on Luke. It’s a pretty great listen – go grab a copy and hear tales of Chris Butcher sleeping in fields and doing something with mushrooms. Thanks to LackOfKnowledge (and serpx) for the heads-up.(Louis Wu 12:46:51 UTC)

by
Kato at Katonian.net has an article up on how to make stereoscopic screenshots from Halo 3.
The story mentions only the Windows program StereoPhoto Maker but I also located the Macintosh freeware AnaBuilder, which you might have some luck with if you’re a Mac user.

Halo 3 proves content is (almost) king
An article written by a Silicon Valley insider uses Halo 3 as evidence that content drives sales more than technology does… I think there are lots of examples of that these days, but Halo 3 definitely fits the mold.(Louis Wu 19:22:40 UTC)

Love is a many-splendored thing.
Dan Rhine and his fiancee were married on October 6. They had a pretty cake. Why do you care? Because they’re both avid Halo players, and Halo was there. He and his friends spent the morning trying to collect the IWHBYD skull. “Rock Anthem to Save the World” was played during the reception. And the groom’s cake had a Halo cake topper. Fate had them meet as foes on Xbox Live, but these rings have made them brothers. (Well… spouses, anyway.)(Louis Wu 14:09:45 UTC)

She Screams in Pink

Sandtrap is not a natural formation.
Wow… Hawty McBloggy speculated about how interesting it might have been to have had Cortana as the final unlockable in Halo 3. Personally, I’m guessing I’d go crazy after a day or so… but it’s an intriguing idea. Go let her know what you think!(Louis Wu 09:54:04 UTC)
