ASE Ep. 154 Marathon Tempus Irae 14: Towel Boy
The secret exit from Brain Damage leads to the secret level Towel Boy, where we explore yet more waterways and finally run into a Juggernaught we can kill.
We’re starting a new Marathon adventure– this time fighting the Pfhor in Italy of the past in third party scenario Tempus Irae!
Tempus Irae can be played, like the other Marathon games, using the open source Aleph One engine which you can get here for Windows, Mac and Linux:
Tempus Irae and other third party scenarios for the Aleph One engine can be downloaded here:

We use irons’ Co-Op script, which gives weapons and ammo to both players if either picks any up, and prevents weapon loss on death (so items can’t be destroyed in lava or slime). The script also allows one player to teleport to a destination set by themselves or their partner, in case co-op players run into a problem a solo player would have to restart for.

Getting into the Banshee Room on LNoS
We don’t hear from the Termacious Trickocity team directly any more, but it’s okay, Kotaku had the story this time around. Looks like they got themselves into the Banshee room on Reach’s Long Night of Solace. The procedure contains a pretty absurd level of complication – watch the video for a recap of the gory details. I love this stuff.(Louis Wu 20:39:16 UTC)

Kal Belgarion reminds us that tomorrow is the last day of the GrifballHub Kickstarter campaign to fund a Grifball booth at RTX this year. As of this writing, with 27 hours to go, they’re at $11,675 of their needed $11,750 – just $75 short! Can you help? Update: Less than 5 minutes after I posted this, someone pledged $76. They just hit $11,751 – full funding! That’s awesome. There are stretch goals, though, so don’t stop now!(Louis Wu 23:54:52 UTC)

We missed it on Monday, but Rooster Teeth released another PSA – this one is called ‘Rehashed’, and explains how we, as a society, really appreciate remakes and reboots more than original stories. Sarge does his best to illustrate. (Sarge’s best needs some work.) (Louis Wu 23:34:31 UTC)

We’re starting a new Marathon adventure– this time fighting the Pfhor in Italy of the past in third party scenario Tempus Irae!
We’re once again hemmed in by waterways and key/lock puzzles. At the end, though, we find that Da Vinci’s manuscript has been stolen! He blames the locals, but we suspect the Pfhor.
Tempus Irae can be played, like the other Marathon games, using the open source Aleph One engine which you can get here for Windows, Mac and Linux:
