MLG ESPN Saturday Night Rebroadcast Available Now

Major League Gaming held the first ever Halo 3 tournament this month at the Meadowlands with record breaking attendance. Over 250 teams showed up to battle it out for bragging rights and over $50,000 in prize money. Thankfully MLG and ESPN put together a Live Broadcast of the event that is now available for on-demand viewing.

Tribute for Orchestra

Hey everyone, this is a transcription of ‘Tribute’ (heard at the end of the game when they are all standing on the mountain).
It’s only half complete, but it is a work in progress so I will upload again when I’ve done some more (or contact me me if you’ve done a considerable amount more to it). There is a .bmp for each page, a midi file, a .sib file, and an mp3 (which is what you get in Sibelius when you export as audio- I read the ‘How to upload’ thing and said about not including .mp3s, but considering this is what you get when you play the midi file, I think I’ll be let off on this one-if not mods tell me and it will go). If you get the actual piece (search on youtube), and start them both at EXACTLY the same time, the transcription should match up pretty much perfectly all the way through the actual piece (all of what I’ve done so far anyway). Enjoy and comment!btw if anyone wants to make a pdf out of the images then send it to me they’re welcome to and I’ll add it to the zip.

When Missiles Go Rogue
PaulMc was playing on Valhalla, and took a shot at a Banshee with his missile pod, from pretty close range. He missed, the Banshee boosted in and splattered him. Pretty standard, right? Well… the missile ALMOST got a lock… so it decided it was gonna follow that Banshee after all. The ‘shee had headed for the enemy base, looking to see what it could hit… the missile caught up to it as it rounded the spire. It started down for the kill… and then it found a new target. This one was moving more slowly, perhaps, or maybe it was the peanut-butter coating on the Elite armor. We’ll never know. The missile flew into the ground behind the running Elite that had just spawned, killing him. The cool part? That running Elite was PaulMc, back from purgatory just in time to be killed by his own missile. NFL Running Back to host a Halo 3 tourney in NE
If you live in Omaha, NE (or nearby, I guess), you might be interested in a Halo 3 tournament to be hosted this weekend at Heidelberg’s Sports Bar by Ahman Green, an NFL running back with the Houston Texans. Chairleg offering a Halo 3 Cutscene in HD
The Chairleg Productions crew is planning on releasing some new machinima in HD, and to test whether their server can handle the load, they’re releasing a Halo 3 cutscene (the ending of Floodgate) in QuickTime H.264 HD format. Magic Overshield Grab
xenøs was messing around with some map building, and ran across a pretty bizarre glitch; apparently, you can pick up an overshield by traveling between a pair of teleporters that has that overshield near the path that connects them.
