While Hunt the Truth is in full swing grabbing all the attention of the lore nuts, the MCC is due for a major release in the coming days as Relic and ODST are scheduled to hit by the end of this month. We’re still eagerly awaiting a release date, but hopefully something soon comes up. In the meantime, there’s not much else going on in current game news, but communities are thriving and more seem to be popping up and growing. One such community is Ultimate Halo headed up by Wangtim3. We had him on our show previously when he was still doing his own stuff, but now he’s brought together a team of personalities generating YouTube content that covers a wide array of Halo topics. We also did our own dramatic reading of the latest GrifballHub comic and go through our mailbag once again.

Podtacular 483: The Leak
Ben finally made contact with FERO at the end of the previous episode and things couldn’t have gone more South how Ben was expecting their plan to go. Leaked footage of the Master Chief disrupting a monumental peace talk seemingly favoring the alien representatives and kidnapping the human representative has had many people talking about him. As Mashak reveals more information about the Spartan program and it’s treatment of the outer colonies, it’s not long before humanity is up in arms about what the Chief is doing. FERO reassures that while Master Chief is taking the brunt of the blow in the short term, he will be vindicated and ONI will be the ones under scrutiny. The panic generated from the first leak was enough to get the pieces moving for ONI brass and UEG Senators to set up a meeting to discuss what’s going on, which is right where they want them.

We use irons’ Co-Op script, which gives weapons and ammo to both players if either picks any up, and prevents weapon loss on death (so items can’t be destroyed in lava or slime). The script also allows one player to teleport to a destination set by themselves or their partner, in case co-op players run into a problem a solo player would have to restart for.
