GTA IV – Endangered Species Part 3 – Bohan
Today marks part 3 of our Endangered Species series of guides, and I take you through the Bohan borough, killing all 22 pigeons along the way. With 72 total rats under our belt we’re over a third of the way done, while also finishing all the eastern boroughs. Next week we’re going to start on Algonquin, which has 71 pigeons, so I’m breaking that up into 3 parts of 23-24 pigeons a piece. As always, we got the handy dandy map as a companion to the video. Happy hunting. Please enable JavaScript to enjoy this flash-based video. Find out how at this link.

Third Weta Silver Statue for Sale Now
Last night, Weta posted the third of five one-of-a-kind silverplated statues – Master Chief and Flood is up to $810, with nine and a half days left. You can keep track of all the Weta statues on their eBay Store page – 4 days left on the Master Chief and Grunts, a week on Master Chief and Arbiter. This staggered release schedule is probably pretty hard on people who might want to bid on more than one…(Louis Wu 12:00:09 UTC)

Bungie teases us with unseen Halo 3 footage
Is Bungie working on a major update for Halo 3? In the video below we see a video shot in what appears to be the Halo 3 engine. In it you see what looks like a real-time map editor and multiple non-MC/non-Elite characters.
Also, at the end of the video you see the Superintendent logo.
My guess? Bungie is working on a new multiplayer experience with many new playable characters. I would not be surprised if we see cross-platform functionality (XBOX 360 and PC gamers playing together) in environments that support 32 players in a game.
There will be no Halo 4. Halo 3 is getting a major overhaul. The update will cost $10-$20 and will be installed onto the XBOX 360 hard drive after the Fall 08 update.

Download the Madden '09 “Jets” Cover
Brett Favre has balls of steel. The man retires and lands on the cover of Madden ’09, avoiding the dreaded “Madden Curse.” Then he’s all like “fuck it” and comes back from retirement, daring the Football Gods to break his ankle during pre-season or to discover his secret dog fighting ring.
Little problem though, the current cover of Madden 2009 depicts Favre as a Green Bay Packer. If you hadn’t heard by now, Favre is a New York Jet. So what does that mean for EA, who printed up some ungodly amount of copies of their title for release today?
I’ll be damned if they don’t do EXACTLY what they should have. EA has released super-high quality PDF files of the Madden ’09 cover art with Favre as a Jet now instead of a Packer, and you can download them all for free. They come in all flavors, from 360 to PS3, PS2 and PSP. Go ahead, print out the new sleeve on your home printer or take it to Kinkos to get that professional look.
Go here to download the PDF files. Good luck with the achievements!

Math-trastrophy
Today’s comic comes in response to the recent announcement regarding the future of Geometry Wars as a franchise. I won’t link it here, because then you’d read the link, and the comic would be kind of spoiled for you – and that’s not fair to you dammit. Also, Luke whipped up a fancy wallpaper for you guys too. Here’s non-wide screen, and much cooler wide screen version.

Achievement Hunter: How you can help!
Alright folks, Achievement Hunter has been up for a couple of weeks now, and as you’ve seen, the site is growing daily. We’ve already added a ton of stuff compared to what we had at launch, and we’re still working on getting even more functionality crammed in to this badass little place on the web I call home.
You might be asking yourself, “How can I help Achievement Hunter?” Awesome question. There are a couple of things you can do.
1. Create walkthroughs! Feel free to create video walkthroughs or text walkthroughs. We are working on a way for you to upload video to our site, but until then, you can upload them to YouTube or some other site and post a link in the forum for the game you have done a walkthrough on. If you e-mail us letting us know about your link, we can even embed it in the forum thread for you. Awesome! Also, if you spent a lot of time working on a walkthrough, let us know, we’ll try to recognize badass users as they submit more walkthroughs.
2. Submit news stories! Another piece of functionality we are working on is the ability for users to submit news stories to the site. Until then though, if you run across a bit of awesome news that you think would be great for Achievement Hunter, e-mail us your tips at Info@AchievementHunter.com. We’ll take a look at your info and could possibly use it in a front page post! Obviously, the better worded your email, the more likely it would show up posted in the news. Even if you just have a tip to share, feel free to drop us a line and we’ll investigate further.
3. Send us Secret Achievement tiles! The more you look around the site, the more you might notice achievement icons that look like this:

That is because that is a tile for a secret achievement, and we have yet to get a hold of the actual tile from Xbox.com. Here’s where you come in. If you spot a secret achievement tile that we don’t have on Achievement Hunter yet, send us an e-mail with the URL of the icon, the name of the game it is from and the achievement name, and we’ll drop it in to our enormous database of awesomeness. Please though, only submit tiles from Xbox.com.
4. Get a job at a game company and send us achievement lists early! Okay, this one may be a bit of a stretch, but if you are out there working for a game company, drop us a line and we can work to get your achievements up on our site. We are still a very young site, so we don’t know yet what we aren’t capable of, so we’ll try anything! Marketing folks for major publishers, get a hold of us, we are open for all kinds of contests/giveaways and other awesomeness for our incredible community of users. They love free shit and we love giving it to them.
5. Sign-up, use the site! Obviously, if you don’t have an account already, you should sign up for one. It is free and you will be connected to the family of Rooster Teeth sites that already exist. You can then do stuff like add games to your “I’m Playing” list so they’ll pop up right at the top of your page for quick access to achievement lists and walkthroughs.
So there you have it, a few things that you can do to help out Achievement Hunter. So far everyone has been excellent and we’ve had nothing but positive feedback from all of you. Thank you for that. Expect tons of more original stuff from us, from Forced Enjoyment to Petchievements to Bikinichievements (hopefully?) to Achievement Hunter TV and more and more walkthroughs. We do this because we love it. Except for Geoff. He lost a bet.
And he has lots and lots of crabs.

Hindsight: Halo 3 – The Ark
It’s been a long wait… but it was worth it. Over at Ascendant Justice, you can read Hindsight: Halo 3 – The Ark, a blow-by-blow discussion of one of the largest levels in Halo 3. As with all previous episodes of Hindsight, you’ll almost certainly run across tidbits you missed when you played through the level, or be shown viewpoints you didn’t consider. The writeup ties the level into the rest of the game, the other games in the series, and outside sources of canon. If you care about the Halo story, go read this. Bring a cup of coffee or two, though – it’s monstrous. Thanks, fin.(Louis Wu 20:36:17 UTC)
