Halo 5 Video: A Hero Reborn

There’s some awesome insight not only into the Spartans we’ll see featured in Halo 5: Guardians, but also the making of 343Industries as a game developer. One of my favorite Vidocs in a while!(MacGyver10 15:23:54 UTC)

So Chief, Tell Me About Your Mother

Assessing the Early Halo 5 E3 Build
Digital Foundry, the infamous division of Eurogamer that focuses less on fun gameplay and more on comparing who has more inches, has an up-way-too-early Halo 5 performance article based on gameplay and videos from E3. While I believe they jump to conclusions way too early on videos of a build that are from three months ago and still today four months out, there is some interesting conversation nevertheless. Thanks SIX min WHISTLE!(MacGyver10 13:51:56 UTC)

ASE Ep. 161 Marathon Tempus Irae 25 & 27: Hang To Dry & Repository 9
With our co-op scripts disabled to prevent going out of sync, Blackstar and Narcogen must rely on skill and determination to deal with waves of Hunters and Troopers teleporting behind them.
Also, our apologies– this video and the previous one were posted out of order. This one will remain at the top space in the queue until the next is posted, and then we’ll put back into the proper order.
We’re doing a new Marathon adventure– this time fighting the Pfhor in Italy of the past in third party scenario Tempus Irae!
Tempus Irae can be played, like the other Marathon games, using the open source Aleph One engine which you can get here for Windows, Mac and Linux:
Tempus Irae and other third party scenarios for the Aleph One engine can be downloaded here:
http://source.bungie.org/scenarios.php#more
We use irons’ Co-Op script, which gives weapons and ammo to both players if either picks any up, and prevents weapon loss on death (so items can’t be destroyed in lava or slime). The script also allows one player to teleport to a destination set by themselves or their partner, in case co-op players run into a problem a solo player would have to restart for.

Armor customization discussion
Over at Beyond Entertainment, Josh ‘Sal1ent’ Holmes posted a note about the armor customization choices coming in Halo 5.
